Condit is in many ways the Forrest Griffin of MMA WWs: a ton of heart, always executing great gameplans, and furious leg kicks. What they don’t have in common..Condit needs more credible opponents! He lost his biggest fight to date (Shields). I see a rematch with Larson next but I hope for much more exposure for this guy.

This fight could have gone either way, The ref favored Condit. If you notice in the fight if Condit was on top and doing nothing, the Ref would let him be. But if Miura was on top the ref wouldn’t even give him a chance to do damage to Condit, and just stand them up. Even though both where out of breath the fight was stopped too quickly. Condit wasn’t really doing damage to Miura at the time of stoppage. Condit was in danger of losing, the ref and announcers knew it, but they all favored Condit ( in my opinion). Also if you watch the end you’ll even hear the Ref give Condit praise for the knee.

kl the fight wasnt stopped to soon yeah he didnt get knocked out he just gave up , and besides miura didnt complain he new he didnt have enough left in the tank to continue thats why he just fell to the ground.

mmafan yeah i’ll agree that he didn’t have enough in the tank, but that was also the case for Condit. Thats why his hits wasn’t doing much damage. I still rather have the Ref let them fight longer, they where both explosive and anything could have happend.

I agree with you KL, that was the most pathetic reffing that ive ever seen in an MMA match.. I think they need to have a good talk with Rosenthal. You cant have someone favor a fighter in such a “top notch’ program such as WEC. If he would have let them keep going a single time when Miura was on top the outcome of the fight would have been much different.. I think Miura gave up because he knew that no matter what he did Rosenthal was going to pull some ******** and there was no point to continue. I mean Condit at one point just literally layed there on top of him, not moving a bit and Rosenthal didnt say a word… the second Miura got on top he was saying… “advance position” I think the Last Samauri and Condit need to have another match…. and definitly a different Ref… this isnt professional wrestling.. Thats was the most blatent case of favorism Ive ever seen in a real fight.
