My predictions for Rashad VS Forrest….I still don’t know yet.
My predictions for Rampage VS Wanderlei 3……Rampage as long as all the **** he’s going through now doesn’t get to him (which I don’t see how it won’t). I also think Wanderlei has gone soft a little bit. He doesn’t have that killer instinct he USED to have.
I still think the LHW class is gonna be sort of a cakewalk for Anderson Silva. I mean he’s my favorite fighter and all but you HAVE to admit this guy’s a savage/animal/warrior/technical master.
I see Anderson beating Wanderlei, maybe Rashad & forrest. The only person who I think he WILL MOST DEFINETLY have a problem with is Rampage.

No luck there my hating friend. Chuck was too comfortable. He thought he had it in the bag already, and he had his hands downs because he thought so. He still thinks he can run through guys and not worry about too much else. You can’t do that kind of thing with fighters like Rashad or Anderson Silva & others. You just cant. I know he underestimated Rashad because his hands were down. Well, his hands are always down, but still.

Well, we still got Randy VS Brock coming up. I don’t know if Randy has been training and kept himself in shape, but I’m gonna still put my money on Randy. I also didn’t watch Brock VS Heath. I heard Brock destroyed him. Anderson Silva VS Patrick Cote….Patrick is a little too one dimensional compared to Anderson. I’m gonna say my dude Anderson has that one in the bag. I think when he comes back to LHW he’s either gonna be fighting Chuck, Wanderlei, or Lyoto Machida.

Why are people mentioning Brock vs Randy??? It has no correlation; that fight has been made as a publicity stunt and in no way will Lesnar find a way to overcome Couture. Evans has trained for many years and was not the “huuge underdog” like everyone had put him out to be, everyone just forgot that the Liddell/Wandy fight was fixed and Chuck came in the same Iceman he was when he fought Jardine. It is very simple, Chuck is way over the hill, age finally caught up with him and its just a matter of time before a mediocre up-and-comer caught him. It is not coicindence that he lost to Jardine. That was not luck, chuck is old and just ran out of gas.
Evans has a good motor and is very smart but physically he is not top talent. Evans barely squeezed out a draw with Tito who is also over the hill. A younger Liddell in his prime would have put Evans on queerstreet just like he did to Kevin Randleman.

I AM DISSAPOINTED IN THIS FIGHT. IT DIDN’T LOOK LIKE EITHER OF THEM WERE THERE FOR A FIGHT. THEY BOTH WERE LOOKIN FOR AN EASY ONE PUNCH KNOCKOUT FROM THE BEGINNING.I WISH THE FIGHT WENT THE OTHER WAY AND IT WAS RASHAD THAT GOT KNOCKED OUT. THE ICEMAN WILL BE BACK.
The feed paused on me just as Liddel was going down from that hit and the first thing that I thought was it was one of those Jardine type knockdowns and Chuck would pop right back up. Then came one he most sickest knockouts ever. That looked twice as sick as any knockout Chuck has ever dished out. I hope Rashad beats the sh*t out of Forrest next. Did anyone notice how quiet the crowd got when the cam switched from Rampage to Forrest? He doesn’t deserve the belt for “hanging in there” with Quentin and Rashad will smash him and be new champ!! By the way Forrest’s jokes are lame as sh*t too.

Chuck was great in his time, but he’s a decade older than Evans! Plus Chuck isnt in Couture shape…he’s a slow brawler and thats not a successful combo for an “mma” fighter.
And Rashad has nothing to be cocky about, he’s running on Luck and like Tito, sooner or later that runs out. I mean he ends the fight with uncarismatic theatrics..save it playa, you beat up your dad!
To be successful you have to be a complete fighter like GSP, both stand up game and ground fighting precision. Both Rashad and Liddel need to seriously look into what mixed martial arts stands for.

Who got knocked the **** out? Chump Little (Chuck Liddle). I never liked his style. Each time he loses I rejoice. Not for his loss, but for his fans misery. His fight with Wanderlei was so boring, but the fans rejoiced in the slug fest. Where is the intelligence in a slug brawl? So he got a taste of his own medicine, so what? I was never a fan of the Iceman except his super strong hips. Last night in the viewer voting, 81% thought the Iceman would win. I wasn’t one of them. The Iceman is a big UFC commodity, and it will be interesting to see how they market him next. What pissed me off, was that the winner of Chump v Jardine was going to face Wanderlei, but the UFC went back on their word. Granted, Wanderlei and Jardine did end up meeting, but the way it was done was too political. The Iceman is 38 years old. The next 2 fights will prove if his time is up, as long as they don’t give him chicken feed. And these next 2 fights better not be a main event, otherwise Zuffa will lose money cos I won’t buy it.

This was junior boxing, not MMA as it should be. Chuck was a Div. I wrestler and, at the age of 38, needs to be adding more of a mix to his MMA. Rashad didn’t try of any takedown. Chuck could have. That may have surprised Rashad. Chuck could have clinched, threw knees, tried for throws, used kicks, etc.
I wonder about the mindset of Chuck and, his peers. They must want to promote the “only punching is manly” myth. I think the UFC rulers like this as well. Such crap.

Chuck Under estimated rashad. Chuck Still thinks he is the boss in striking. He made the same mistake he made against Rampage by leaving his guard down. But Chuck never keeps his hands up. Rashad fought a smart fight. He kept moving and frustrating chuck. Rashad also trains with Greg Jackson Camp. He trains with Top fighters like GSP, Nate Marquart. Rashad trained properly for this fight and this was no fluke at all. Chuck is overrated.
chuck used his punching power and ground based knockout victims in the past to build his fame. now that he is fighting real strikers in the divison, he is losing. he keeps his hands way to low and has a one dementional STRIKING game, let alone his mma game. his career is on a mayjor landslide.
Chuck has always been two things - overrated and lucky…lucky in that he has knowck out power, lucky that most mma fighters do not own true boxing skill - when he has fought people like rampage and now evans - any one who knows anything about boxing knows - you simply cannot/shoud not throw an uppercut from the outside…and when you do - you end up with your black polished toe nails point skyward!
Let’s just be honest, fight wasn’t fixed, Chuck ate the canvas… for all you fan boys crying about it being a lucky punch, you know that’s a lie if you’re a fan of chucks at all… I’m talking since he first stepped into the octagon like myself, you’ll know Chucks defense hasn’t really been defense since they started hyping him as a sprawl and brawl guy. That’s not to take anything from Rashad that punch nailed Chuck because he left himself open like he always does, and for the person saying he took a punch just like that in the first round, who cares… it’s a fight Chuck is a fighter, he should know better than to leave himself open to anyones punches, because everyone has a punchers chance in the mma, so he took it the first round and thought he’d breeze through it the second round as well and woke up from his canvas nap digusted he’d lost to a showy guy he said he’d knock out, deja vu anyone? I’ve been a fan of Chuck’s for years but I’m tired of the same ol’ iceman thinking he can just power through anyone it’s a new game out there and he can either adapt or move onto some other weight class/ organization because honestly I wish he’d fight wandy again cause there were plenty of times he looked sloppy in that fight as well, I’m not saying it’s over for him but he should definitely do something different in his camp to better prepare himself for REAL mma fighters, the sprawl and brawl phase is out the window and if he doesn’t wise up soon he will be too. I saw the fight. Evans didn’t destroy Lidell with luck. He was smarter and had the advantage in speed. In the exchanges before he put Lidell to sleep he was still beating him to the punch. The image of Lidell melting to the canvass will always be what people remember but the speed was the real difference in the fight. Evans was MUCH faster than Lidell. If he hadn’t gambled on the knock out Evans would’ve still won because he was already starting to take control and win exchanges with his speed. Lidell was a good fighter but he’s finished. He’s been put down for a cage nap in 2 of his last 4 fights, and he got his ass soundly kicked in one of the others. I like Lidell because he was exciting, but it’s better for the sport if he retires or is reduced to gimmick fights like Couture/Lesner. Lidell has still not learned to keep thier hands up. He got KO’d by Rampage, then comes in against an up and coming guy like Evans and gets knocked out for the exact same reason. Lidell is an old ‘dog who’s too set in his ways to learn new tricks so he needs to call it quits.
Im not an MMA guru, however, I enjoy watching individuals with great skill put their record and ego, and chins up to the test.
My point is this, Chuck as an entertainer is, uh, I mean was, the great White Hope for UFC. Historically, (review boxing history: George Jackson - first African American Heavyweight) there has always been one present for each sport! Why do Blacks in sports get all the luck calls? Honestly, its because whites need something to hold onto, just like blacks. Its not racist in any means, no one wants to see a person who looks like them, acts like them, or even gets silly hair cuts like them, lose. The same whay blacks feel when it takes more than one cop to subdue them. Its not because they are far inferior to whites, its just that whites have learned, as Fredrick Douglas displayed in his book My Bondage and Freedom, that our hand skills are no JOKE!

Chuck needs to diversify his game. Kick, clinch, knee, takedown, dominate, submit. Perhaps the fans want to see the big knockout, but those fans desires shouldn’t get in the way of losing a match, which he’s now done 3 times. The fans are at the point where they will cheer for anything, as long as it’s Chuck. Chuck the mixed martial artist, or Chuck the striker. Chuck should have defeated Rashad, but chose to keep his game plan limited and, if you do that, the chances of getting beat increases.
If you want to watch a punching fight, watch boxing. Otherwise, MMA requires a mix of techniques.
WOW… chuck looked so messed up on the ground.. awesome knock out. but dude not very classy, usually when guys knock some one out that bad the guy who did it will check on him to see if he’s ok..
This had no action for 5 minutes as the Iceman tried to hit him in any way. Sugar’s KO punch reminded me of Iceman going down when the Natural Couture knocked him out. The big difference is the way his head swung back and forth and forth before hitting the canvas instead of hitting the canvas to revive himself. Chuck Liddell is seriously a wicked good fighter though! Good luck next time.
I didn’t read all the way down, but I totally agree on the luck part. Obviously he is a decent fighter and is in the ring, but how can anyone discount luck when they are both throwing knockout punches at the same time. If Liddell starts his punch .001 seconds earlier than he is the winner. I agree that he has almost no technical ability: hands down, does nothing but look for a knockout punch, etc. This was an ugly fight, and I personally think that neither fighters are worth a damn. I disagree about the comment with Rampage being just a puncher, he has been working on other styles and has improved other parts of his game. As far as these predicitons involving Forrest Griffin : He will kill everyne, he wasn’t even on his game versus Rampage, he should have submitted him or knocked him out…..Griffin is super tough and can take about anything. Also I would not be suprised to see Lesnar trash Couture, we have already seen that technique and skill aren’t the only things that matter. With all that said I don’t see evans hanging with any decent fighters, his style is weak, he’s not quick, doesn’t have much power….basically he fought an old dude, Liddell has been done for awhile.
Liddell has needed to change his stance for a long time, so wide open has gotten him caught with Quinton, Jardin, now Evans. I saw on an interveiw he said that after a loss, guys say I have changed my whole game plan and what not, he said what for? you just got caught one time why change whats been working? Odviously by sticking to that thought, it has gotten him knocked the **** out. But Chuck is a good fighter and has been dominat and great through out the years. I wish him well.
