How did Chuck get to be considered an exciting fighter? He’s done a lot and he’s had some good knockouts but he doesn’t do much.

The only problem with Chuck is that he tends to overlook certain fighters. Chuck only fights well when he has the upmost respect/fear for the fighter infront of him. The recent fight with Silva only adds weight to this.
With fighters like Jardine, Evans and even to a degree R. Jackson, Chuck overlooked them and was already thinking about the next fight instead of the job in hand and this mindset proved to be his demise.
The Silva fight was Chuck at his best and it was obvious Chuck respected Silva a lot.
Chuck needs to concentrate on the fight infront of him and stop worrying about the Title.
The Title will come when he wins all his fights. I have a lot of respect for Evans but compared to Chuck, they are worlds apart and its very sad to see a fighter of Chuck caliber loosing to above average fighters like Evans and Jardine.
Even if Chuck retires, he is still one of the best fighters the UFC/MMA have ever produced so show him some respect ******* before I speak with Dana, get signed up and call you ****** out. Talking **** about Chuck when most of you could not even stand and drink a beer with him.
Chuck is and will always be the Man in the UFC and he is a future hall of famer.

Honestly @ JC that wasnt luck. No match boils down to luck. Looking at it in the technical aspect Liddel saw an opening for an uppercut and almost had it off but due to rashad’s fast right he just got to him faster than liddel’s slower uppercut. Liddel is actually known to be a fast striker but the choice there just didnt happen to work out. As you can see they both started their strikes at the same time but the uppercut is a more risky move and has a longer path to destination. You dont see really fast uppercuts in every ufc match but you do see fast right hooks in almost every match. Yes, Liddel did get knocked the fuck out and no im not a sugar fan.. I also dont care about the showboating and dont believe all the ‘dancing’ really helped him much. If you were really watching the fight and not just that one KO, you would see that Liddel won the first round and kept Rashad moving around the outside edge. Chuck was almost walking around doing a “cake walk” around the inner octagon line. That kind of shit really makes you appreciate how a fight can end at any second just with stand up striking. btw sugar and rampage are too cocky. totally agree with cowboyBob - if liddell lands his armpit uppercut and evans misses the overhand right - the replay will show that evans’ left would have ended the fight and the result would have been the same…chuck’s cute little black-toe nails pointing skyward…the announcer said - chuck’s career is a hihglight reel of knockouts - we’ll evans just added to his reel…chuck’s style is mma lousy and dated in the same way the tito’s game of ground and pound is old and ineffective…wanderli - take a lesson - mma has moved on - you’d better bring the whole game - else you’re just a brawler waiting to through a .001 sec delayed uppercut from way outside!

1) Lucky my ass. Chuck got pwned. the sport has moved on, he is done.

2) If liddell starts his punch .001 seconds earlier… absolutely nothing happens differently. His punch misses, and he gets knocked out slightly later. Unless that awesome armpit punch is more powerful than it looks.

3) JC… yeah, obviously you are a writer. your comments are so well thought out and expressed. do all vegas mma “writers” sounds like retarded 4 year olds?

yup, evans was lucky. jardine too. oh, and rampage. all so, so lucky to beat liddell. he’s done, Affliction wouldn’t take him.

Liddell has needed to change his stance for a long time, so wide open has gotten him caught with Quinton, Jardin, now Evans. I saw on an interveiw he said that after a loss, guys say I have changed my whole game plan and what not, he said what for? you just got caught one time why change whats been working? Odviously by sticking to that thought, it has gotten him knocked the **** out. But Chuck is a good fighter and has been dominat and great through out the years. I wish him well.
