going with the san da vs thai boxing this would prove to be a very interesting match up. considering u look at cungs full fight record. he is undefeated in all aspects of martial arts he taken part in. as for submissions im not sure silva may have him there but cung is an accomplished wrestler an ikf and iska champ. san da champ 3-0 in k1 so i think he would prove a very good match for silva. and for people that say he doesnt have power u cant break sum1s arm with out power. another thing people will say about silvas clinch work go and have a look on youtube about san da vs thai and see what happens the minute the thai go to clinch. on a whole though there is no denying that this would be a very interesting and entertaining match up.

I still dont understand why silva is considered so unbeatable he has lost 2 times and gotten dqd 2 times everyone knows dana white is not going to put him in tough matchups he could fight cung le vitor belfort, jacare, gegard moussasi, robbie lawler even matt lindland would matchup better at 185 he could even have lyoto machida drop weight and create a match like that bottom line is silva is probably the number one 185 pounder but if he faced a quality opponent everytime he would not be for long and that fight with chonan was very close even before the flying scissor heel hook submission

Not sure what Cung Le is saying about people not engaging Silva in his fights.
James Irvin tried his damnest to KO Silva in their fight and didn’t look to me as anyone scared but rather someone trying to prove something.
Unfortunately he got countered in the worst way by a very experienced striker
As for Cung Le fighting Silva anytime during 09′ I just don’t see it happening,
unless StrikeForce goes belly up like Affliction and the IFL, and Cung can break his contract this just won’t happen anytime soon.
Dana White has no desires to share profits with another organization under a co-promotional fight, and to be honest, he doesn’t need to.
All fighters will eventually come full circle to the UFC.

As for this dream fight of Le vs Silva, my money is on Silva for two simple reasons: 1) he is the most lethal/technical fighter/striker in all of MMA and no one has come along in recent years to challenge this notion, 2) Cung Le is a good fighter but he is not a dynamic fighter. Punch for punch, counter for counter, etc, he is not bringing anything to this fight that Anderson hasn’t already faced and dealt with in a brutal fashion.

As for Silva’s 4 losses that people keep bringing up, two of these were in Silva’s very early years, he has matured and refined his abilities since then and the other 2 losses were due to a DQ (which he still KO’d his opponent) and a (Hail-Mary Pass) Flying Scissors Ankle-Lock from a desperate fighter who was well on his way to losing that fight or getting KO’d.

That would be a sick fight but f**king Dana White again with his 6 fight contracts. Do joint promotions with the other organizations one fight at a time, split the profits 50/50 and be happy with what you earn you greedy cue ball headed bastard!

Yes, I agree peope fought Anderson Silva scared. They were too tentative in their attacks. Take to him with conviction, give it all every blow, you ‘ll have better chance of beating him Me. Silva. Remember Silva lost at least twice in Japan before.
