Note: When regularly asked about who the number one contenders should be, he states that he puts on fights that people want to see. Yet when asked about Fedor V Couture, he says “it’s a fight that Couture wants”, as if Couture is the only person interested in this fight. Historically, Dana has always played down Fedor’s “greatness”. The reality is, he is trying not to show how badly he wants Fedor considering Fedor hasn’t signed unfavourable contracts in the past. I speculate that Couture is confident that Affliction will not blossom and has jumped ship within his time limit. If us paying customers are lucky, we will see Fedor V Couture next year. The only other match up which seems interesting is Mir V Brock II.
