In the third round, the ref broke up the fighters twice when Fedor was in the mount position in the middle of the ring. I don’t understand the reasons for this. The fighters were actively exchanging punches.
Is there some rule I’m not familiar with?

Fedor never had Cro Cop mounted. Fedor was in Cro Cop’s full guard.
Anyways, the ref broke it up because not much was happening. Mirko wasn’t working for any submissions, or to get back to his feet, and Fedor wasn’t really working to pass, and he wasn’t really getting any punches in. Plus it was the endurance round so the ref put them back on their feet so we might see a late KO.

Great fight. Cro Cop never hurt him nor had him in trouble, but when he was aggressive towards Fedor, Fedor got hit. I think Fajita is the only person to have ever hurt Fedor with a punch. It sucks to see Cro Cop now. What happened?

Fedor Ukraine Superfighter who people underestimate has an Iron Jaw (Maybe harder than Steel) but Cro Cop figure out punching him directly in the face gets a reaction. Fedor seems to adjust to each fighter and fight their style. Dangerous bound to get him in trouble as this fight showed.
I liked Fedor Kick in the begining of the Third Round. Cro Cop avoided Fedor Punches knowing that exchanging with Fedor is suicide. Only Age will diminish and defeat Fedor as it has already effected greats Like Royce Gracie, Matt Hughes, Mirko Filipovic, Randy Coultore, Ken and Frank Shamrock .But Ukraine Russian Fedor Emelianenko is the Best I have ever seen.
