UFC fans, PRIDE haters, you see how less restrictions can inspire fighters to fight more actively?
Of course as Dana White says “anyone can stump someone on the head”, but how can you successfully do that without the risk of being sub and exposing yourself in a more dangerous situation? MMA is a legal sport since it has rules to make it less fatal but less rule just make it more real and thats how I like it.
Recently the UFC pre-cards are mostly end up unanimous decision and the fighters sometimes just don’t seem to have a heart to win!

I think stomping is alot harder in a cage than people might think. Most fighters stomp while holding the top ropes in Japan which allows them to stay balanced. In a cage there is not top rope to hold, if you jump and stomp, you risk falling, slipping, or getting submitted. The Rua brothers and Wandy trained extensively on stomps on the ground, it’s not something that anyone can do without risking being in a worse situation.

Soccer kicks are kind of messed up though… especially when a person is scrambling to get up, but I think stomps require more skill than people think.
