I kinda agree with you guys that he is starting to look slow. However, look at his kicks he still looked like the old cro cop. I think he just didnt try as hard because he knew hoe man choi sucks. I just think he lost motivation, that’s why he’s in Japan fuckin up gargabe opponents.

They all slow down some day if they keep fighting. He was a great fighter in his time. I don’t think people should talk shit about him, he just loves fighting and wants to keep doing it.

Is this supposed to be a joke? How do you call a fight when a guy falls on the ground and wasn’t even knocked out?? This ref sucked. In real MMA, it’s called having the opponent jump on the guy and ground a pound. Dream is for kids. Cro Cop is not looking like his usual self. It’s an embarrassment it came to him fighting this huge giant fell who doesn’t know anything about mma. Maybe he should fight Brock Lesner. They are both huge. No one has the advantage!

  7. DG on January 1st, 2009 10:54 pm

Brock Lesner and Choi-That’s a fight I’d like to see. Everyone hypes up Lesner when in reality he’s nothing but a huge guy that has the advantage because of his size. Nature gave him that-not practicing MMA. Couture should have won that fight, and Fedor will destroy Lesner if they wind up fighting.

i agree that cro cop isn’t what he used to be but you have to bear in mind that he’s not as young as before and look at the size difference between those two!
if you were fighting a man so much taller and heavier than yourself i really doubt you would be the one attacking/pushing forward…

Boring fight but cro cop did beat him in awsome cro cop fashion.
Also he did bring down the biggest fucker in mma. An opponent with a serious weight and height advantage , so i give credit to Mirko.

Have to admit though he isnt what he used to be . Putting on that weight to deal with bigger opponents doesnt seem to be doing him justice.

He should cut down to 205 , i think we’d see the old cro cop then.

Im looking forward to seeing shogun beat that fucking retard Mark Coleman and set things straight. Were gonna see the old shogun i think . The griffin fight was just a fluke. He had the flue for that fight and wasn’t in shape at all.

    I wish pride was still around :’( . . . . .

man idk why all of you are hating on the croation wrecking machine

he fought a very smart fight

  11. lavatron on January 3rd, 2009 3:56 pm

crocop talks about fightin in the ufc again, but i cant c it happenin unless he starts fightin legit hw’s and not sideshow freaks like choi….. imo crocops stint in the ufc showed that he was not the same fighter he was in pride and he doesnt look like recapturin that form, which is a shame cos i always enjoyed watchin him kick peoples heads in2 the crowd….

  12. john on January 4th, 2009 6:19 pm

i think crocop hit a rough patch but to count him out for good is silly. he is a wrecking machine. he got caught by gonzaga and lost a decision to cheick kongo. dissappointing? yes. career ending? no. choi might be a circus act but he is a huge guy and presents many problems the fact that a single kick to the knee took him out shows mirko has got some power yet but he needs to step it up

not all pride fighters are doing bad in the UFC….where do you think anderson silva is from?

  14. Mimic on January 23rd, 2009 6:35 pm

People talk shit about Cro Cop, but at the end of the day, since he started UFC he’s been plagued by injuries, had some major nose problems which required surgery, fought with broken ribs, and after this fight announced he required a lot of knee surgery and he’s gonna be out at least six months.

Bottom line is he fought an intelligent fight against a much larger opponent.

oh and DG, cretin, this is K-1, i.e STAND UP fighting, where does ground and pound come into that concept…..???

  15. lol on August 17th, 2009 7:46 pm

O_O Seriously what the hell was this? this fight wasn’t serious right?? RIGHT?? i mean maybe the smaller guy was trying but the big guy… LOOK HOW HE HITS…. if he would of landed any of hes hits there wouldn’t of been damage… geesh… I HIT harder than that…

This fight must of been just for show and/or the big guy was told to lose this on purpose o_O
