The top UFC guys are really on another different level than these Elite clowns at this weight class…
GSP would destroy Jake, Jake would seriously get beat by several UFC fighters in his weight class.

I love to watch Jake Shields fight he takes them out fast.
And he called out GSP? At least GSP doesn’t gas in the first round. GSP can destroy people from side control and guard, yet Jake couldn’t finish a guy in mount?

Sheilds is a good fighter but he will have 2 train real hard to be able to defeat GSP.
Man oh man….. I have never really followed shields however, I have no clue what he is thinking calling out GSP. His striking is slow and hardly even fundamental. He never threw combos and really only committed to the shot. His Jitz is very sport bjj, not mma bjj…. I mean who mounts someone for that long and cant finish a fight, not mention his gas tank…. He would have been screwed if that fight had went the distance. Anyway, just my opinion.

Jake Shields would be an underdog to GSP, I do not know if GSP would destroy.
I think from watching them fight that they are both very intelligent guys who come into every match with a great game plan to get them the W.
GSP obviously has more tools in his bag, but Shields is a better grappler/jiu jitsu guy than most of the top UFC WWs. Only BJ Penn is a better BJJ guy than Shields, but he is not as strong as shields and usually gets his dominate BJJ position from a takedown or top position, it seems to me like GSP could take Jake down and Jake would be more dangerous than any other guy that GSP has fought from the bottom position.
Say what you will, GSP has gotta fight someone, he has already trounced Fitch, Alves, Koscheck and Hughes. I think the UFC should trade one the AKA guys for Shield’s contract…goodness do something! Who are they gonna sell me as GSP’s #1 contender? This is the guy folks!
