What a fixed fight “Did i see kimbo tapped on that guillotine or what?”

  2. means916 on June 1st, 2008 1:55 am

That was bull. It was definitly a premature stopage. Put him against Tim Silva……owned.

  3. z3r0 on June 1st, 2008 2:03 am

This fight is very much thash the two are extremely poor!

  4. eiz on June 1st, 2008 3:21 am

I am a fan of Baas and Kimbo…

    BUT!!!

    Unanswered blow ??

What about when Kimbo was on the floor ??? THAT WAS MORE TKO THAN KIMBO’S !!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Michael Spencer on June 1st, 2008 3:54 am

    very very rigged

  6. dee on June 1st, 2008 5:05 am

Shame on you ref!! 31 unanswered elbows plus punches you didn’t stop, you stood them up at one time obviously in Kimbo’s favor. No wonder JT smacked your head and didn’t anything about it!!

  7. pen15 on June 1st, 2008 5:36 am

That was a terrible fight. One of the worst I have seen.

  8. chizzzy79 on June 1st, 2008 6:35 am

ok listen dont know if any of you have fought before but the 31 so called elbows were more like forearms & those being dropped from 2 inches or so away are soft your head hurts more bouncing off the mat if you arent up against the cage. that tap early by kimbo looked like it was a wrap for him but you werent in the ring fighters have voices too and he COULD have said something to the ref & thats why it wasnt stopped then. the stoppage in the 3rd was early but i think everyone wanted to see someones head get knocked off. yes the reff couldve let it go longer and i think he should have so there was no doubt but JT was rocked and honestly he wasnt going to last to much longer if they stood up. the fight wasnt the best action wise either but not all fights are. but with this controversy it sets up for a nice rematch and kimbo can only get better it was only his 3rd mma fight let him get a few more wins and losses before everyone starts bashing him. im not defending anyone but there is more to it then just putting on a good show for people all of the time. kimbo didnt look good but neither did jt

  9. chizzzy79 on June 1st, 2008 6:46 am

also why did jt stand with him at all in the 3rd why didnt he shoot right away kimbo obviously doesnt have a great take down defense anyways rematch with a different ref oh and the no call on the tap has happened in the ufc too

  10. Tmack on June 1st, 2008 8:26 am

What none of us can see through the TV is their eyes. That is what the ref is looking at. Kibo on the ground getting elbowed for a solid minute…ok. But look at the soft elbows, not slicing, and Kimbo was defending. Also, ref knows how tough both guys are. Now, fast forward to the third round, JT is now bleeding, hands at waste, wobling around and the ref looked in his eyes. One or two more shots from Kimbo like that and there could be permanent damage. Look at the details of the entire fight, not just what you think you saw. JT tough as nails and Kimbo still needs to learn to fight on the ground. I think a rematch is bad news for JT after Kimbo learns to Jitz.

  11. Toxteth on June 1st, 2008 9:23 am

The fight was finished, Thompson was out on his feet. The ref was right to stop the fight, anyone with any sense can see that.

  12. Forrest on June 1st, 2008 10:00 am

When JT had Kimbo down for that “1:30″. That was not exactly a ground and pound. He had absolutley no power behind those punches therefore the Ref did not believe that Kimbo was in trouble. Also, when a Ref sees a fighter bleeding out of his ear; he needs to stop it.

  13. jonNYC on June 1st, 2008 10:31 am

    Kimbo, won the fight.

In the end Kimbo didnt tap out, that guillotine he was in, he gestured he was OK, nothing more, nothing less.

Both fighters were extremely tired, and throughout their fatigue, it is obvious Kimbo still could provide devastating blows like to the ear, and JT couldnt even move correctly, nor jolt Kimbo with punches.

JT’s game should of been more to the ground then on foot, Kimbo is an awesome powerhouse, his punches are lethal. This guy fought straight up street and has won all fights, this MMA has refs, and time crunches. Be serious.

Kimbo is a very good fighter but needs more training to handle fatigue better then he did. Once that happens, he will truly be unstoppable in an caged fight.

The REF WAS IN THE RIGHT PERIOD. His ear was busted wide open, for all we know that blow busted his eardrum. If you watch the vid, you see JT not REALIZING ANYTHING till several seconds after the fight was stopped.

    People are just haters.

    GOOD LUCK KIMBO

PS: I got some guys who would love to fight you KIMBO, and they laugh at some of the MMA and PRIDE fighters. LOL

  14. Joe Smith on June 1st, 2008 11:04 am

You guys have gotta be kidding me! Kimbo is a good fighter? Compared to who? Giant Silva? Don’t get me wrong, JT is pretty bottom of the barrel too. I am in now way a JT fan because he’s not a good fighter at all. But that actually makes it worse for Kimbo getting schooled on the ground by Mr. Nobody and his (caugh) impressive 16-8 record against nobodies and over-the-hill fighters like Dan Severn.

And since when is taking countless elbows to the head without being able to cover up called “intelligently defending yourself”? Even thought the elbows weren’t brutal, the fight should’ve been stopped. There’ve been plenty of fights stopped when a guy takes a tonne of mediocre shots and can’t defend against them.

  15. UD on June 1st, 2008 11:43 am

    Fixed fight. Confirmed.

  16. Jose on June 1st, 2008 11:48 am

Ok lets be real here, the ground and pound by JT was soft but a 1:30 of unanswered blows whether they are soft or not merits a stoppage. Kimbo was not able to defend himself and was taking unecessary blows. The tap was a legit tap, Kimbo was tapping and JT even yelled at the ref when Kimbo tapped and let up on the choke a bit allowing Kimbo to break the hold….Come on people this was a fixed fight and an insult to the MMA world. Kimbo has raw talent but one should not be a main eventer and two has lots to learn.

  17. JIM on June 1st, 2008 12:21 pm

    THAT SUCKED!!!!!!1

  18. MD on June 1st, 2008 12:32 pm

You all are retarded for thinking this fight was fixed. Kimbo was not TKO’d when on the ground! That’s ridiculous to even think this fight was fixed! I also don’t know what fight you all watched, but there was clearly no tap. I watched the fight twice and there was no tap by Kimbo. Thompson was getting ready to be flat on his back, knocked out completely if the ref didn’t stop it when he did. He hit the ref because he didn’t know what in the hell he was doing at that moment because he was TKO’d! You all on these boards need to learn something about fighting before you make comments like I’m seeing here. I’ve been in martial arts and I know fighting through experience. How many of you couch potatoes have the experience to back up your ignorant comments that have absolutely no merit whatsoever. Learn what a TKO and a tap is before you comment.

  19. Michael on June 1st, 2008 12:34 pm

I don’t know. I hate to think it was rigged. I was first skeptical at 5:10 on the first video. Kimbo is in a guillotine, camera pans way out, close-up cam comes back and Kimbos out. It looked like when Kimbo was down that he could just decide he wanted up. Maybe he is so strong he makes it look easy. I’ve just seen bigger guys held down by smaller guys and they couldn’t just get up at will.

  20. Hyped Heavies on June 1st, 2008 12:40 pm

I was impressed at times with Kimbo’s ground game…However, there’s no denying that RIGHT NOW if the most typed hyped heavyweights (Kimbo and Brock Lesnar) in MMA in the USA were to fight, the fight would go as follows:

    Bell Rings
    Kimbo throws 1 punch
Brock Lesnar takedown within 15 seconds
Kimbo pounded into a bloody pump
Ref stops fight before end of the first round

Enough said, that style match up would be way too much for Kimbo

  21. MD on June 1st, 2008 12:45 pm

I think alot of you need to go out on YouTube and watch the one street fight Kimbo lost to the cop who cheated several times in the fight to ultimately win. That cop was alot bigger than Kimbo as well so they were not evenly matched in size. However, I think they were evenly matched in skill. Then you will be able to realize the level of punishment Kimbo is able to withstand. The guy can take a pounding as well as give it, simple as that. Maybe once you see that fight which was much longer than this fight with no breaks seperated by rounds, you’ll be able to understand that when Thompson had Kimbo on the ground, he was not in trouble at all and in no way tapped out as some of you appear to believe he did.

Despite what some may think about Kimbo’s experience in MMA, he’s a natural street fighter with plenty of experience in fighting. MMA is referreed as one put it in this board, but street fighting isn’t. It takes a real tough guy to compete in “back alley” street fighting, so what do you think will happen once Kimbo furthers his skills gaining the training of MMA to compete in the ring? I’ll tell you, he will be unstoppable for a long time or until his age gets the best of him, which hopefully he’ll go out on top, but I doubt it, fighters never do.

Kimbo is a legitimate contender and will be dangerous for many fights to come and all you doubters will soon eat your words, trust me.

    OFFICIAL MMA RULES

The following describes some rules commonly found in MMA competition in most MMA organizations.
    Ways to victory
Knock Out (KO): as soon as a fighter becomes unconscious due to strikes, his opponent is declared the winner (because MMA rules allow ground fighting, the fight is stopped to prevent further injury to the unconcious fighter.)
Submission: a fighter may admit defeat during a match by:
    tapping three times on his opponent’s body;
Kimbo clearly tapped JT 3 times on his elbow. MMA rules state that is a submission. Match should have been over then. Enough Said!

  23. BriK on June 1st, 2008 1:30 pm

Kimbo didn’t tap, he gave a thumbs up indicating he was ok. should Thompson have gotten the decision in the 2nd for his ground n pound when Kimbo wasn’t intelligently defending? based on prescedent, probably although i’ve seen exceptions in the UFC too. in the 3rd, Thompson was done. overall, a messy production that neither Elite nor CBS should ever let happen again. Kimbo is not a legit headliner right now, even if he’s a money maker. in a little while he will be a real contender if he can quit smoking, get his cardio and grappling/submission skills down, and improve his striking. we don’t need another Tank Abbot; not these days.

  24. TooCrooked on June 1st, 2008 2:26 pm

    where is the SOUND!?!?!?!?!??!

also, i keep hearing kimbo tapped!?

  25. R U Kidding on June 1st, 2008 2:33 pm

JT had both of Kimbo’s arms pinned. He was dropping Soft elbows to his head. IF YOU LOOK, Kimbo was still dodging some of the elbows on the ground. You can clearly see he wasn’t hurt. At first I thought the fight should have been over but after watching it again I saw the elbows weren’t doing anything.

About the so called tap out. If you look closely you see He has a closed fist and his Thumb is up. That’s not how you tap out. Last I checked that meant “OK”. You even hear the announcers who are on ringside say they saw him gesture “OK”. Who do you think has the better view. Those at home watching on tv or those sitting ring side.

If you continued to watch the fight after the win, then you saw the clips which showed different angles of JT’s ear moving more than he was and you also saw JT’s eyes have that stoned look. He was going down. What would have happened if Kimbo would have hit that ear again. Or hit him with 3 more solid punches.

  26. JDEGITS on June 1st, 2008 3:31 pm

are you sure he tapped cause to me it looked like he gave the thumbs up

  27. John on June 1st, 2008 3:43 pm

Your picture quality sucks! If you’re going to compete with the likes of you-tube, you better train a little bit. It’s like your Kimbo, don’t rush him in with the Brazilians, they’ll have him for lunch. With all do respect, He’s not quite ready for prime time. Too many guys waiting and training for the spot he’s taken because of his You-tube notoriety. Just my 2 Cents.

  28. John on June 1st, 2008 3:44 pm

    Already did…

  29. John on June 1st, 2008 3:49 pm

My comments were geared towards RU Tube. My apologies if offended anyone. You Tube you suck too! Fix your Buffering problems….

  30. www.outlawkennels.org on June 1st, 2008 3:52 pm

It looked like Kimbo tapped but didnt , It was a early stoppage and i was suprised that the ref didnt stop when Kimbo was getting elbowed on the floor.

Congrats Kimbo and we are looking forward your next fight.

  31. americanpride21 on June 1st, 2008 4:35 pm

I watched Kimbo fight in person. I wouldn’t talk bad about him even if it is the web…Would’nt mind watching him toss a couple of you monkeys a beaten.. I hate critics.

  32. americanpride21 on June 1st, 2008 4:39 pm

Maybe kimbo should fight michael clark duncan from green mile..”I luv me sum corn bred”

  33. Jj gugs on June 1st, 2008 5:21 pm

Ok Joe Smith your real smart saying over the hill fighters and kimbo and JT are horrible bottom barrel fighters how bout u get in the ring or the streets with ne of these fighters and u wouldnt last 10 seconds…5 seconds against kimbo u really need to watch what u say your probably overweight alcoholic that sits on your couch all day and complain because your worthless…. You wait and See kimbo will get alot better on the ground and with submissions and stamina and then ne mma fighter i mean any are going to get rocked…..i forsee kimbo going 8-0 before his first loss and after that he wont lose again for a long time!!!!! Joe your worthless

  34. str8sOcO on June 1st, 2008 5:59 pm

I’m very new to this sport but I mean the fight was good from what I saw….in the end Kimbo won and thats the bottom line…I really didn’t see a tap either…I think he did great and deserved that…I mean come on there was still 4 minutes and he busted the guys ear open! I mean come on now, Kimbo hadem…look at JT’s eyes in the last video he doesn’t know where he’s at!Good job kimbo

  35. CDB on June 1st, 2008 10:39 pm

I’m I the only one that thinks Kimbo RIPPED his ear, not hit it? Watch the shot again…

  36. getalife on June 1st, 2008 10:48 pm

You people need to get a life, it was a fight and nothing else. So what your fighter lost. He lost fare and square and just because you don’t agree with it now you want to cry. Kimbo is a tough fighter that is just learning the boring MMA style wrestling matches. When he gets more experience he is going to be tough. Then you will be crying again when he beats your favorite fighters.

  37. elitexcblows on June 1st, 2008 11:38 pm

dude you obviously are oblivious to MMA as a sport and kimbo keeps winning because elite xc makes it so easy for him to do it

  38. boyhitbygirl on June 1st, 2008 11:44 pm

ok did anyone her when tj was ranging down the elbows the ref told tj “you have to do more or im going to stand up.” a little fishy to me.

  39. tom on June 2nd, 2008 12:10 am

I want to preface this by saying that I like Kimbo Slice. BUT that was not a real win as far as I’m concerned. The ref called that one WAY to early. Thompson absolutely dominated Kimbo on the ground. If the ref didn’t call it and no one got knocked out, the points would have gone to Thompson. Basically, if Thompson didn’t have that balloon ear, he would have won. Very controversial win.

  40. sNguyen on June 2nd, 2008 12:12 am

I’m a huge Kimbo fan but damn, JT it seems like you got robbed. I REALLY HOPE YOU GET A REMATCH. Does anybody know if JT has his own website or something so I can tell him how I feel about how he should have a rematch?

  41. f-u on June 2nd, 2008 2:06 am

kimbo clearly tapped on thompsons arm three times. Don’t you nay-sayers have dvr? Watch the fight again and this time open your f’n eyes!

I hope you idiots that say he didn’t tap have showtime,so hopefully, they show a replay of bimbo tapping out.

  42. Manslaugther1981 on June 2nd, 2008 2:23 am

The HW form the IFL is named Ben Rothwell. And yes that would be a good fight for Kimbo. Pretty good call, VIBE.

  43. JT on June 2nd, 2008 4:49 am

Kimbo was giving a thump’s up, he didn’t tap out.

  44. 99 on June 2nd, 2008 11:11 am

check it again part 1 at about 4:50 to 4:55 thats not a tap.

  45. James on June 2nd, 2008 11:20 am

    Haters haters haters.
Kimbo wasn’t great. He admitted it. Thompson was dead on his feet. Dazed and confused.
Both have their talents both have their weaknesses, atleast Kimbo was able to partially match Thompson on the floor, as soon as they stood up Thompson was out.
Stop thinking about this fight and think about the future, Kimbo is getting better and better. Don’t forget that was his first three round fight, and only his 3rd MMA.
    Give them both some respect.
Its not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog. Both boys showed their medal, and therefore it was a good fight.
    F”’ the haters.

  46. RJ on June 2nd, 2008 11:33 am

Great night of fights. Early stops were gonna happen and everyone should have seen it coming. It was the first ever MMA event on national television. They aren’t going to let someone get killed. Error on the side of caution and thats what they did. Stop hating!! Great fights and Kimbo fought a MUCH more experienced fighter reguardless of the guys record. Kimbo pulled out the W after taking some punishment. Still has alot to prove but a good showing non the less

  47. Zero on June 2nd, 2008 1:39 pm

Horrible fight. Sign your ground game sucks… james “the debt collecter” (when did he become collosus, does UFC/Pride own that trademark or something?) Thompson, master of the “dong and dash” style of fighting completely schools you on the ground. Course they both looked like a couple of beached whales on the ground. I know, lets get a match with Kimbo and Dan Frye. That would be epically funny and sad at the same time. No way they are going to let anybody with a ground game anywhere near Kimbo Slice. Lets get Mark Coleman out of retirement, or Kevin Randleman out of rehab against this guy. Those old farts would school him on the ground. What a joke, this guy wouldn’t win on that Ultimate Fighter reality show, and thats about the level he is at.

  48. JChez on June 2nd, 2008 2:41 pm

It’s EliteXC. It’s garbage. It’s irrelevant. CBS is stupid for even putting the crap on the air. I think I’d rather watch HDNet than EliteXC. Try watching Pride, K1, WEC or UFC. Watch quality mma, not overhyped crap.

  49. mrmoc on June 2nd, 2008 4:34 pm

AN important element everyone is forgetting (and a reasonyou have Kimbo haters…more like jealous of Kimbo): Kimbo had NOOO back ground in martial arts…wrestling or really even boxing…he is a street fighter…. whats this mean?? it means you got one mean green fighting machine wiht limited training demolishing people who have spent YEARSSSS learning things that he is coming to the ring with naturally. Even the controversial James has years of experience in being trainined wrestling and jijitsu…
As for their fight…man state the obvious….James was putting his all into that fight…he wasnt trying his typical tactics he went straight for what he felt was Kimbo’s weakness (probably from watching the Gannon video) tying Kimbo up….and Kimbo…who until very recent was a one dimensional fighter….gave him a run for his money….james couldnt last more than a few moments going head to head…so he took it to the ground where he STILL couldnt do nothing with him. This was no fix…i think as kimbo gets some more martial art training…he will shoot to the top…hell look what he is starting with..

  50. martin on June 2nd, 2008 5:04 pm

I believe it was not fixed, i would say it was just the perspective of the fight that the referee had, that made him stop it, I have to agree that Kimbo is good taking and giving punishment, thats a fact, we can all see it from his videos. and if that’s his way, I would really like to see him in a stand up fight ( no boxing… just not going to the ground.. ) and see how he deals with a butterbeam or someone like that, who are also punchers, that would be interesting, but i can see Kimbo trying to go to the group asap ( and well after all this is MMA, so its valid.. but it was just to give an example of how, we just sometimes forget how even in his “element” i am sure we all have seen better fighters ) and for those who say he was a streetfighter…welll i wouldnt agree any less,I mean up until the last time I checked, on street fight you can do pretty much all you do in a MMA fight PLUS illegal movements. what he ddi was bare nukle boxing THAT is different, or did you ever see elbows? clinches where he could pull his hair and punch with the forehead? or something like that? THAT is street fight, thats why i say he is a good giver and receiver of punches. that was many time proven :)

  51. martin on June 2nd, 2008 5:08 pm

ups sorry i just realized some of my typos :P

  52. popcorn on June 2nd, 2008 6:32 pm

the fight was not rigged kimbo told the ref that he wanted to continue the match when he was in the move round 1 2:40 on video time 5:50 to 5:59 look at it for yourself his moves are clean they above the belt but one of the moves the elbow to the neck that was dirty move but he only done it once and plus why would u fight with in that type of condition were u got a huge bump on your ear come on if u was a fighter u would use that as an advantage even if if was u in the ring

  53. anon on June 2nd, 2008 9:31 pm

What a fixed fight “Did i see kimbo tapped on that guillotine or what?”

Kimbo was giving the thumbs up, it’s fairly obvious he isn’t in trouble, if that guillotine was fully in he wouldn’t be able to knee JT.

  54. anon on June 2nd, 2008 9:38 pm

I take that back. What the hell was that stoppage??

  55. rossie on June 2nd, 2008 11:16 pm

hey, what are you guys complaining about? when kimbo was on the ground and receive the so called 31 elbows and punches there was not a single drop of blood on his face ,on the contrary when the refere stoped the fight jts ears was about to fall out of his head and the blood was coming out, thats what u.f.c. is all about.also if you rewind the tape you will be able to see that one of kimbos punche actualy lifted jt of the ground ,pay attention my friends, this is a guy that never pratctice martial arts before only back yard braw,jt is a martial artist and could not defeat him on the gound ,shame on him, you go kimbo congratulations.

  56. Philipp on June 3rd, 2008 1:39 am

you guys are idiots that guys ear was freaking bleeding like no other kimbo’s punches are like freaking trucks…

  57. Twinkeye on June 3rd, 2008 2:35 pm

ummm…. maybe not fixed but at the VERY least extremely controversial. kimbo was not defending on the ground. he was done there for about 1 minute. and sure the hits towards the end looked nasty but James had been taking them all night long.

  58. Rico on June 4th, 2008 12:34 am

Kimbo DID NOT tap-out. If you look closely at his hand gesture while he was in the guillotine, his hand didn’t actually touch JT’s arm. The tap isn’t only to notify the ref… if you’re trying to tap out, you tap your opponent’s body where they can feel it… especially being that you’re in excruciating pain. Sometimes the refs don’t always see the tap immediately, and a second in a choke hold seems like an eternity. Look even closer (get up to the screen if you have to) and you’ll see that Kimbo was actually giving the ref a thumbs up. One of the commentators even commented “he says he’s ok”.

  59. T.P(828)Baller on June 4th, 2008 9:19 am

Kimbo is better than thompson but if thompson got kimbo on the matt kimbo would had lost overall kimbo is the best……looks like kimbo gave thompson an old fashioned 305 beating Ya Digg

  60. mmaguy on June 5th, 2008 4:43 am

this is exactly what cbs had planned on the entire time. im very angry that kimbo won that fight they didnt even try to close the wound. the ref was just waiting for that thing to pop and once it did then they could finally end the fight. i like kimbo he seems like a nice guy on camera, but he has never fought anyone relatively close to real mma fighter caliber. sorry kimbo but half the lightwieght fighters in the ufc could beat u in the octagon. even though he has good punching power he (not being a “hater” just stating the truth) will never be a ufc contender and when it comes to mma. ufc belts and pride belts are all that realy mean somthing.

  61. Brian on June 14th, 2008 2:05 am

Well, after reading JT’s interview, it’s clear that he wanted to keep going. If he blows his hearing or rips his ear off, well he was OK with it, so the organization and the ref should have been as well. It was obvious that there were rulings going in Kimbo’s favor. I don’t believe that he tapped earlier, but merely tried to indicate to the Ref that he was still coheriant and fighting, but the last 1:30 in the 2nd round was obviously BS. To give any fighter a 1:30 to get his head beat in without protecting himself is an obviuous sign of it being rigged. That would never happen with another fighter, PERIOD, regardless of damage done, it would never be allowed to continue that long. I like Kimbo just like the rest of the guys on here trying to defend him being the winner, but let’s get real guys, this one Kimbo lost. If JT’s ear was such an issue, they should have brought that to his attention prior to the fight or just rescheduled it till he could have it drained, but they didn’t which shows that they thought Kimbo was going to end the fight fast anyway, but were sorely mistaken when JT gave Kimbo a run for the money. I noticed JT’s ear immediately when he entered the stadium and if I could see it on Network TV then the officals could have prior to the fight as well. So the ear is just a scape goat since they couldn’t allow the fight to go to decision, since once again Kimbo would have lost. Kimbo threw some crazy punches and caught JT several times, but JT has been hit a lot in his carrer and he kept going. In fact he was so ready to keep going that after being hit several times by Kimbo and even having his ear explode open somewhat he was pushing on the Ref, angry with his decision, but Kimbo couldn’t even stand and dropped. If him dropping onto his back right after they pulled JT off isn’t a sign that he lost, then I don’t know what is. JT’s ear just wasn’t a major factor, except for the fact they needed to have end up winning and they knew if it came to it they could use that. ……..Anyways there needs to be a rematch and then the truth will come out. Both fighters are good people. JT hasn’t talked sh*t about Kimbo and Kimbo had good things to say about JT, so all in all, I say the corruption lies with the promoters and mainly Elite XC. Kimbo has brought alot of people to watch an up start medicore MMA fighting organization and they don’t want to give that up. Unfortunately their false sense of reality in regards to the fight and only caring about the monetary value of Kimbos future is going to do a lot of damage to it’s reputation. Since this fight, the internet has been a stir with talk of rigging and that speaks ten times worse for Elite XC then for Kimbo. Can’t wait to see the rematch.

i missed the fight on tv but caught it here. it was decent. nothing to flashy. neither guy had endurance but kimbo had a little more and as for the stoppage. i think it should of went for a bit longer see if JT can shake the cobwebs and get back in it. he was going down but wasnt out. his punches were weak long before that and took many shots trying to get in on Kimbo to get to the ground.

now for the tap. it looked to me like JT thought there was a tap and that may have been a ploy who knows. according to the announcers it was a sign he was ok probably like people said a thumbs up. BUT there was some arm movement that looked like a tap out. JT cant seen a tap, he could only feel it. so that was kinda hinky. maybe Kimbo’s hand tapped his elbow whille he was giving the thumbs up. doesnt really matter any more. but those three taps are suppose to mean the other fighter gave up. cant wait to see either of these guys next fights to see how things work out for them there.
alright just my 2 cents should have change coming buit i’ll just donate it to save the cockroaches fund

I dont like kimbo at all…I was hopeing for him to loose. I hate the fact that he used to call himself a great fighter going against those stupid retardeds on the past street fights. But after all, he did not tap on the guillotine, on the other hand, there was no need to stop the fight the first time since Thompson had control and was trying to get a better position. I believe tht the fight COULD have been stopped when that unanswered elbow blows whas happening, well, I’m glad it didn’t. Kimbo, though tired, proved he still had the energy to give that strong hits, screweing jt ear and stuff… Not only JT was bleeding a lot, he didn’t even know where he was. Just take a look, he takes a while to figure what was happening that the fight ended and stuff. Well, I’ll wait and hope that next fight Kimbo gets what he diserves.

I’ll give Kimbo all the credit in the world for busting his ass to try and be a MMA fighter. But James Thompson had that fight, For whatever reason the ref didnt stop it. Controversial Call normally calls for a rematch so ill wait for that.
