matchida didnt run he was being a smart technical fighter..But alot of fans dont watch boxing any more for the same reason..They expect to watch mma and see a slugfest..To me that was great skill an technique by matchida but not a fan friendly fight so i agree with both sides..Good fight for matchida but a bad fight for the fans..

finally someone that knows something about fightin….thank you for realizing that it isnt supposed to be a slugfest and that the smartest fighter reins supreme….its not always gonna be the fighter with the bigger hands or the quickest feet, sometimes you have a fighter that uses what his knowledge of fighting and thats the one who is most dangerous

lyoto should have won that fight alot easyer im dissapointed in this fight ya lyoto showd great skill but i feel he was not agressive enough for the ufc i feel the ufc is for worriors with a mind set of being the best lyoto just wants 2 win with little actual fighting the ufc is not a tecnical stickind karate match it is a prooving ground 4 champions tito didnt have a chance

whoever wrote this comment clearly knows nothing about fighting…. lyoto wins because he is patient and he waits for his chance to strike he is the best because he can do things that come from his karate background that most UFC fighters are new to fighting. His style is unique and if your gonna say a person with his own style of fighting isnt good enough when he is the undefeated lightweight champion…. if his 16-0 MMA record isnt convincing enough for you than i dont know what is…..

MACHIDA IS A BEAST, patients is the name of the game and he is one of the best. Fighting isnt about 2 people standing there swapping blows, although admittedly it is cooler, but to win a fight takes strategy you always gotta plan out your next move trying to stay 1 step ahead of your opponent

que buena pelea bien por machida ya que ortiz subestima mucho a sus contrincantes y se cree mucho mas que los demas y no ve que hay muchos mas completos que el en el caso de machida que paliza .

Lioto treinou Karate a vida toda.
Sua tecnica se baseia no deai, a pegada do kareta, tecnica de completa marcação.
A distania de luta de um karateca é duas vezes maior de quem luta boxe ou mui tai. O ataque dele vai sempre entrar e também vai sempre sair da distancia do ataque do oponente. A unica forma de pega-lo e fintando muito e socar trocando a base. Um karateca consegue ver como acerta-lo, mas quem desconheçe a técnica num nem chegar perto.
Deai neles Machida.
O soco do karate é sempre reto e objetivo, soco q não tem nenhum q faça igual no UFC inteiro.
Se o lutadores não começarem a socar reto, fintando, trocando a base, nunca chegarão perto do Lioto.
Karate Shotokan é a melhor tecnica pra lutar em pé. É pura marcação, mecheu tem q bater, abriu a guarda tem q entrar, piscou na finta, leva.
Machida vai mostrar muita coisa ainda.
