you guys need to give matt a break , for a one dimensional fighter he whooped many a mo fos ass
. Yeah hes getting old but what a few bad performances and its like he never won the belt

i for one am an avid hughes fan and say that some fighters have what it takes to fight into their 40s
and some dont matts only lost his last 3 of 4 fights and come the serra fight well see if he can reinvent himself

oh and i hear alot of you saying gsp destroyed matt twice well dont forget matt almost ripped gsps arm off the first time round and the second fight listen to this HE GOT KICKED IN THE BALLS TWICE….TWICE i dont care who you are you could have the best cardio in the world bar none but if you get it in the nads cardio goes out the window so i say that was an unfair advantage in that fight and id like to see a rubber match as i dont count that fight as a legit win for gsp matt may never be champ again but i wanna see him go out fighting

I am pissed off to hear that Hughes says St. Pierre is out of the running for best pound for pound. The fight was fantastic… Fitch looked good, it was a solid fight, and a clear win for Georges. Hughes is pissed off that he is not the man anymore in the UFC title hunt… His only money match he has left is against Serra, because it’s the only one anybody cares to see. Hughes is done. At least Chuck still has gas left in the tank.

I really lost alot of respect for Hughes after hearing this. He is a great fighter, but he is on the way out and I really feel that there was alot of animosity for GSP. It was an amazing fight, I have watched it a good 4 times just because of the sheer show of class and sportsmanship alone. If you really walked out on that fight Matt, it wasn’t because it was boring…it was because you were unhappy about not being able to achieve what GSP has. He is the perfect ambassador for what MMA should be. If more fighters had half the class that Georges has in and out of the octagon people might actually think of MMA fighters as gentlemen instead of savages. Props to GSP and Fitch both for putting on such an amazing show…no props to Matt for being what MMA is not about. On that note, im out.

Funny how he talked up Penn, whom he was open about not liking, but because he said he wasn’t impressed with GSP’s last fight, he’s a “sour puss.” He didn’t just say he didn’t like it, he explained why he didn’t like the fight, so you bandwagon fans who have only been watching UFC since SPIKE need to STFU.

Mike Goldberg said GSP looked bigger, Hughes said the opposite.

Only GSP and his trainers know.

It seems like Hughes is diminishing the awesomeness of GSP. Perhaps Hughes is jealous and/or doesn’t want to acknowledge the building greatness that is GSP. GSP is treading on Hughes’ 7 time (5 time consecutive) defending Welterweight Champion.

Not only Matt Hughes arrogant, he is so overrated! He has virtually no standup game and he’s an incomplete mma fighter.
