Shoot I actually thought Mark was winning that fight up until the last exchange…Rua was sucking bad and eating Mark’s tired jabs…Coleman was also taking him down and getting a few shots in…Nothing like the hammer of old that would have just pummeled Rua instead of using the top position to rest.
The ref should have stood them up before the end of the 2nd round though when Rua wasn’t committing to the submission and wasn’t even really punching Mark while he had his arm trapped. You could tell he was just sitting and resting when he could easily have pounded on Mark’s head or pressed up on the arm to get the tap.
If the ref didn’t stop the fight mark was about to go for the takedown like he usually does when he starts taking hits to the face…He never blocks he ducks his head and goes for the leg and in this fight Rua was pretty much giving him the easy takedown.
Shogun! work something OUT! I don’t want to see you be the victim of Chuck Lidell’s comeback! Improve the cardio or you will get KTFO in April!

man how can evryone includong joe rogan say shoguns performance was sub par…..to me it was old pride style….which is vale tudo all the way……but shogun done great with the rules….did u see how many knees he landed????and colemans face??? and the sharp punches????or how many times did coleman take shogun down and shogun get up??? to me if shogun put on that performance at the griffin fight he would have one…….chute box needs to make their return….

I AGREE THAT SHOGAN NEEDS TO IMPROVE HIS CARDIO. AS FOR MARK COLEMAN GREAT ATHLETE BUT AS FAR AS FIGHTING FIGHTERS IN THERE PRIME MAYBE HE SHOULD HANG IT UP. OR MAYBE SWITCH TO BODY BUILDING. I am a 100% fan of Mauricio Shogun Rua but; I have to admit that he is not in shape to fight ICE MAN Lidell. Coleman lost around twenty some pounds for the second fight and Mauricio needs to do better with his cardio.
