Kimbo Kimbo Kimbo…. what can you say… lets think… he’s not that great of a fighter, he’s a little old to start getting serious now, and he doesn’t have much for a background- which again ties into the fact he’s not that good. He might make it look good in street fighting, but actually throw him into the UFC he’ll wash out quickly. I can’t ever see him going anywhere in the UFC.

Now, that said… he’s got some popularity obviously, so from a business standpoint, Dana was smart to put him on TUF. It’ll bring in a good size crowd to either watch the show or become a little more interested in MMA.

So it all depends on what way you look at it. As a fan of MMA, its good to see him on TUF to help promote the sport, but thats as far as I go with that. As far as the UFC goes, he’s not cut out for it and I really don’t wanna see him in it. Like said in the interview, if he’s not coach-able, he’s not going anywhere. If i got a chance to train w/ Bas Ruton, I’d dedicate everything i had to that training. So good for TUF having Kimbo on for publicity, but he’ll wash out.

Kimbo sucks….. I am so sick of people Kimbo is good. The guy has been an MMA fighter for 2 years and he still has not improved his fighting skills. I mean seriously, if he becomes an MMA fighter in the UFC it would totally dimantle everything the UFC has stood for

I think its great for the sport to have a super athlete like him. he’s gona make it and he will show to all of those who didint believe in him what a great fighter he can be, as long as he dedicates himself a 100% to this wonderfull sport.

I want to see Kimbo winning it all. UFC needs the marketing of Kimbo. Kimbo can sellout any fight he is in. People loves him and want to see him. It is all about business.

Although I can see that Kimbo is obviously very powerful I don’t think he could ever be a true heavyweight contender in the UFC. He just isn’t well rounded enough, heavyweights such as Lesnar and Mir have genuine skill in all areas of MMA and would dominate him Lesnar would take him down and destroy him easily and Mir would submit him. Kimbo’s biggest win so far is against the sluggish James Thompson who cannot knock anyone out to save his life (see Thompson vs Don Frye) also Kimbo is 35 and it takes even the most talented atheletes years to get good enough and groundfighting to compete in the UFC. In the time that it would take Kimbo to become excellent at Jiu Jitsu or wrestling he would most likely be far past his peak and unable to fight at top level anyway as most atheletes pass their peak after their late 30’s (like chuck liddel) overall I can’t see Kimbo making much real impact in MMA and especially not in the UFC.

and kimbodabeast u dont have the skill of either of them they been wrestling and fighing long before u became a name or came out on the street fighting area and ur too old to get as good as they are know . and if u do u will be 5years older untill that happesn which will be never.

The only reason we know about this guy is because of the internet. He’s old and no stronger or more athletic than any other professional heavyweight.

Mir would dismantle him in 1 round and arm bar him easily. Lesnar would outlast him like Nick Gannon did (look it up).

Flat out: He’s corny and I hope training and fighting in the TUF house is a rude awakening for him.

I bet it plays out like Junie from TUF 8 – you will get tired of him and everyone will watch him lose.
