Great fight, thumbs up to Randy for putting in the good effort to defeat the gorilla. Too bad he couldnt pull it off.

  2. IrishJihad83 on November 16th, 2008 12:34 am

looks like its up to Fedor to show everyone just how good he really is, i think Couture was too old for this fight, Brock is a beast but i see Fedor beating the **** out of Brock, Brock has 4 fights under his belt and is not ready for Fedor at all

  3. malcolm on November 16th, 2008 12:36 am

i knew brock would win randy put up a good fight but the speed/strength of brock was to much 0

  4. pete on November 16th, 2008 12:39 am

I’ve been a fan of Brock’s since, and I admidt this freely, The WWE….I knew that he had a different calling tho….He needed the opportunity and thanks to Dana White for giving it to him….the first former ZWWE champion to be UFC champ…WOW….BTW Randy Couture is a class asct and deserves all the respect and credit inthe world!

  5. james c on November 16th, 2008 12:40 am

i geuss you gotta beat the champ to be the champ’although i still think the ufc HW division is weak
hopefully the winner of mir(mir) nog will whip him

  6. d-rock on November 16th, 2008 12:40 am

Brock wasn’t impressive at all. But a big round of applause for him. He did win. There should be a rematch. Couture could’ve taken Brock. That’s just how fights goes. Oh well……

  7. toughman99 on November 16th, 2008 12:40 am

wow, it looked like Randys right knee gave out at the end… too bad, he had a great game plan.

he got grazed and fell??? wtf???? that sucked for brock he should have had a cleaner knock out

  13. dave on November 16th, 2008 12:42 am

looked like a flop to me… I really don’t think that last punch landed at all. Why did that remind me of the Kimbo fight, just longer….

  14. davisimo on November 16th, 2008 12:44 am

dam wanted couture to win but good job by lesnar

  15. james c on November 16th, 2008 12:46 am

  18. sherif on November 16th, 2008 12:47 am

I was really torn for this fight….I like both fighters….it was a good fight and Couture was holding his own against brock, I was suprised that Brock couldnt really over power Couture….You gotta give Randy credit !!!

  19. don on November 16th, 2008 12:51 am

    bing bang BAM

  20. james c on November 16th, 2008 12:52 am

i’m ready for lashley to work his way up thru the ranks

  21. Adam on November 16th, 2008 12:53 am

Brock is UFC’s Kimbo Slice. That was bogus.

  22. tater on November 16th, 2008 12:53 am

if this wouldve gone past the 3 round it wouldve been all randy
    he has brock gassing
good for brock though, i cant wait to see him fight again and see him get even better

  23. midnight toker on November 16th, 2008 12:54 am

Brock Lesnar is a piece of sh!t and he too was allowed to continue to grab on the fence to avoid takedowns as did Kenny. I was hoping Randy would have won this fight. I am dissapointed in this fight and someone needs to teach Brock how to throw a punch on the ground. That was very odd to watch how he finished the fight. Whos next for Brock? I wonder if he just sent Randy back into retirement? Eventually brock is going to have to rely on more than just his punching power or he will easily lose his title most likely by submission as he did to Frank Mir. Actually I would love to see a rematch of that and watch Frank skool Brock in the ring again, except this time I hope something snaps before he can tap.

  24. ronizha$h on November 16th, 2008 12:55 am

I agree…Fedor would tap Brock out faster than Frank Mir.

  25. keysersoza on November 16th, 2008 12:59 am

First off,I like both fighters.Randy is the MAN and Brock is the future of the Heavyweight Division. That being said…that grazing punch on the top of the head was about 2 centimeters away from being a “phantom” punch. Secondly,Considering Brock’s size and power, those hammer fists didnt look too damaging at ALL.FInally, I could see if the ref would have stopped the fight, after the first barrage of blows, but he stops as Brock slows Down And Randy grabs his arm. Bottom Line….The FIX was IN!!!! SHAME ON UFC AND DANA WHITE.

  26. Yojimbo aka yo' motha on November 16th, 2008 1:00 am

Fight was okay but I damn well wish Lesnar would use kicks and some judo throws because he could have used both.

  27. BB4L on November 16th, 2008 1:00 am

    BUDBROZ FOR LIFE!

  28. james c on November 16th, 2008 1:01 am

    yep you said it toker
brock has no class at all we need
    TUF for HW

  29. j on November 16th, 2008 1:02 am

A knee to Randy’s leg in the first round sent his whole body flying.

That went about how I expected. Randy did a bit better than I thought. He’s the first guy to land a solid shot on Lesnar. And to the people who prematurely complained that the only way Lesnar could win was by holding Couture down, it was Courture who did a lot of boring clinch holding.

  30. JB Dacasin on November 16th, 2008 1:03 am

wtf……..i didnt even see a clean hit when he dropped. any way good fight. hope they do a re-match so that couture can get his belt back.

  31. james c on November 16th, 2008 1:03 am

the hw div is very weak i bet the pitbull could beat brock

  32. rudboy on November 16th, 2008 1:03 am

Great fight, thumbs up to Randy 45… wow nice Randy

  33. rudboy on November 16th, 2008 1:05 am

Great fight, thumbs up to Randy 45 wow gj

  34. james on November 16th, 2008 1:06 am

Fedor needs to come in to the UFC and wupp on Lesner. Hopefully NOG will kick his ass though.

  35. Hubert on November 16th, 2008 1:07 am

What kind of fight has a 45 lb weight disadvantage at weigh ins?? C’mon that’s kinda ridiculous. Seriously though what was Randy thinking coming in at 220? That’s how much the LHWs like Liddell probably weighs. Also why did Randy try to strike with Brock? Everyone knows Brock has heavy hands. Couture should have continued trying to get the takedown or at least pull guard and get a submission like Mir did. GOD DAMN I’m mad. That was a terrible gameplan.

  36. Jose Cuevas on November 16th, 2008 1:08 am

I ‘ve been a ufc fan since the first owners! If you really pay close attention this fights are being set up randy couture wasnt fighting!Thats the reason elite xc shut down because the owner admited that he paid that winnie to stand with kimbo wich means that the fights are set up!Thats why dana white was so piss off ! everyone needs to take off the blinds and realize that dana and zufa do the same! The owner of elite xc revealed the secretcy n dana couldnt have that because smart people know that he is doing the same! I cannot stand ufc anymore i spend alot of money on paperviews and ufc dvd n for what so we can get played! F#$!# them! Fights I feel been set up (rampage-forrest)rampage kicked his ass n he lost!the owner of affliction admited that randy was going to go in there n just hand the belt over to brock n again dana was pissed! theres so much more i can say but im not going to waste my time in something i dont believe in anymore!! F$%#$ the ufc ultimet fake championship

no matter what everyone still loves randy and he in my mind is still the face of the UFC

  39. titored on November 16th, 2008 1:09 am

That shot got Couture right in the ear man…bad luck for Randy, he was doing an excellent job controlling Lesnar considering the huge size differences…damn, I really like Randy and I honestly believe he had a chance defeating this guy!! But he will return better and stronger, that’s for sure, let’s just hope he get’s a rematch chance soon!! Great work by Brock, it seems like he worked his but off for this chance and he made it his own. Thanks for the uploads guys!!

  40. ross on November 16th, 2008 1:10 am

I find it funny that his ground and pound is reminiscent of a kid punching a pillow in a tantrum because his parents took his xbox away. but anyways..lesnar finally proved he can take a punch. payceeeeee

  41. Arch g on November 16th, 2008 1:13 am

brock is the man in another year nd a half he will be sick he has some power in his hands

I would have liked to see crop cop (when he was bad ass) kick the crap out of Lesner

  45. iceman888srf on November 16th, 2008 1:20 am

PS I HAVE BAD ENIGLISH LOL AS YOU COULD JUST READ

  46. gwizzy on November 16th, 2008 1:27 am

oh yeah man big nog would take out lesner easy.

  47. mmafan on November 16th, 2008 1:32 am

keysersoza plz dont post if your going to be ignorant. Randy got caught by a punch from an enormous man, you would have died from that punch, so would so would most of us. get over it the fight was’nt fixed and your an idiot if you think it was..your a classic ufc hater, hating the ufc for its success and for no other reason.

  48. scooby on November 16th, 2008 1:34 am

i want to see brock destroy kimbo. that would be a great fight for newcomers

  49. joshua on November 16th, 2008 1:35 am

    Bad luck Randy….
Randy still has three fights left in his contract. if he wins his next 2 he could get a rematch!
    Brock your a WANKER!

  50. THORAZINE on November 16th, 2008 1:39 am

That punch Lesnar threw to knock down Couture reminded me a lot of that 1st punch Matt Serra grazed the back of GSP’s head before Serra capitalized on a seris of punches to end their 1st fight.

Couture was doing pretty good but what shocked me about the fight was Couture’s physique’, it looked like age finally got to him. Lesnar was right when he said Couture looked like a guy that took a year off. However, I don’t think the lay off is necessarily the case, it’s physiology and changes Couture is going through at his age, his body is producing more estrogen and very little testostrone.. Time to let the young lions rule the cage. The Couture that beat Gonzaga was the best Couture I had ever seen…

  51. mma_enthusiast on November 16th, 2008 1:42 am

MMA is becoming like boxing, with all the fixes. Props to Brock if it was legit. Brock is just too big, too strong, and too fast. It would be interesting to see Fedor fight him.

  52. GRIMTHUG on November 16th, 2008 1:42 am

damn man randy loose sad. anyway what’s up with the excuses? just simply brock is faster stronger bigger and younger. we love randy but brock just beat him fair and square, and for that ****** who said this was a FIX fight you’re an idiot cause randy just land a hard clean shot on brocks face and brock just stood like he didnt get puch in the face. can we send brock now to the wwe?

  53. Andy on November 16th, 2008 1:44 am

Bad luck Randy. props to brock. Bring on NOG. Bring it the **** on…

  54. MMAMIA on November 16th, 2008 1:45 am

Lesnar was never in danger in the fight. Couture’s defense was good, but he was never a threat to the clearly better athlete (per pound). Randy is still a class act, that’s why people like him and praise him.

  55. busabling on November 16th, 2008 1:49 am

didn’t see a solid punch landed there. those hammer punches look a bit painful but randy’s took better hits before. ufc is beginning to look like WWE, just entertainment. maybe in the future UFC will be bought by WWE lololol.

  56. Casedy on November 16th, 2008 1:50 am

    If you really watch…
Brock lesnar punched him in the back of the head.
Which even if the hit isnt that strong it would still
    Pretty much knock someone out.

  57. roofliss on November 16th, 2008 1:51 am

Did it look like Randy took a dive to anyone else???

  58. rf6877 on November 16th, 2008 1:54 am

Lesnar caught him right on the temple. Quit ******** about how the fight was “fixed”. That’s a crock of ****. Couture’s age finally caught up to him, it was bound to happen sometime.

  59. Alright on November 16th, 2008 1:55 am

Randy is not ready this thing y’all heard! Brock is too big too strong. Obviously, all it takes is one slip and randy is in dreamland. F… y’all who hate on Brock… Hes the real deal!

  60. James on November 16th, 2008 1:59 am

why are people assuming brock will fight fedor???
fedor has never even fought in the UFC and doesnt really seem like he plans to…

  61. James on November 16th, 2008 2:07 am

I can’t beleive you would compare Brock to Kimbo Slice! There’s no comparison. He was an excellent NCAA wrestler. He is well rounded and still learning. Great standing and on the ground and strong as a mother#$@!. Where is the comparison? Kimbo Slice is a dud and Brock is not!

    James

  62. Bill on November 16th, 2008 2:15 am

Couture was out matched. It seems most people wanted to believe Couture was better, but in the end, the better fighter won. Couture was the Hulk Hogan off MMA tonight. Fans love him, but he wasn’t the best man in the cage.

  63. roofliss on November 16th, 2008 2:16 am

Watch it again bro, back of the head maybe but temple…no way.

  64. cr_trinity on November 16th, 2008 2:20 am

Fedor has fought in the UFC before.

  65. Trooper08 on November 16th, 2008 2:20 am

It wasnt the final punch that knocked down Randy it was the viscious KNEE that Brock clocked him with. Randy was basicall out on his feet before the grazing punch came because of that knee hit. Give Brock his due, he is a beast. Power, size, speed, wrestling, and now KNEES.

  66. cr_trinity on November 16th, 2008 2:23 am

Oops. no he hasn’t. Sorry about that to anyone neurotic enough to care.

  67. GpB on November 16th, 2008 2:25 am

This fight was fixed no questing about it . The glancing blow was nothing randy laid down and let lesner sissy punch him, that was some very sad ground punching,t. Brock wont hold up
against a skilled heavyweight. just to name a few that would destroy brock lesner
check congo, crocop, ofcourse fador, mir, antonio n and alot of others. He didn’t deserve
a title shot so soon especially after he lost to mir.I might be mistaken but dont you have to prove
yourself to fight for the heavyweight title ?

  68. Trooper08 on November 16th, 2008 2:25 am

I know fedor is the beast of beasts but people thought Shogun was the man until he came to the UFC. Same for CropCop. Both derailed. Why so sure to say when or if fedor steps into the ocatgon that he wouldn’t be put on queerstreet.

  69. joejoe on November 16th, 2008 2:28 am

Damn you guys should go to http://www.MMAradicals.com they kick ass! Just take a look and you will see what I mean. They totally called this one.

  70. joejoe on November 16th, 2008 2:31 am

Fedor will not fight in the UFC. Too many problems with the way Dana treats his fighters. Fedor is a business man. He is no fool. And yes he would rape Brock Lesnar like a midget with a n ice cream cone up his ass. Big Nog a.k.a. Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera will beat the brakes off of Brock Lesnar.

  71. dave on November 16th, 2008 2:31 am

The only way to beat brock is by submission. Couture is not a submission guys. Hes only had two in his career. He had no chance of knocking brock out. It was over from the begining. Mir or Nog are going to be a much tougher fight

  72. shaun on November 16th, 2008 2:33 am

whats this about barely hitting Randy, most of you must not know much about fighting. Its not the power of the punch, but where it lands and it landed perfectly. What do you expect to happen when a guy that has his gloves custom made lands a punch on a 220 pound guy.

  73. KimboDaBeast on November 16th, 2008 2:36 am

Dana needs to pull the trigger and let Lesner fight Kimbo. That will be the fight of the century. Two bigs slugging it out for the world best p4p ever. Everyone on this planet would pay to see this. Make it happen Dana!!!

  74. zzz on November 16th, 2008 2:36 am

Um okay, Dana go get Fedor on the phone. Big Nog might beat him with a submission, but no way Mir gonna beat this guy. Fedor vs. Lesnar PLEASE!

  75. Vulcano on November 16th, 2008 2:39 am

Randy looked totally pissed off when he got back up to his feet I was so happy. He left for 15 months over money, respect, and Fedor not being signed but in all his interviews he says the most important thing is competing. Dana probably just wanted to match him up with Lesnar so Randy could get destroyed and the Fedor matchup would be of mute point. We all know that if Randy got past Lesnar and Mir/Nog that he would vacate the title and leave UFC to fight Fedor so Dana wanted to squash that quick. I hope Randy loses his next fight too hes a cry baby not a master game planner. He does the same stuff every fight it either works or it doesn’t. I’m not a Brock Lesnar fan I just think Randy got what he deserves. He gets paid the most aside from Liddel but he felt mistreated or something? Hes 45 and he gets 250,000 to get knocked out which in my book is more than fair compensation.

  76. Wylian on November 16th, 2008 2:46 am

It’s all bs. This championship was bs. Randy was gone for more than a year, so he was technically not the champion. Nog is the real champion, and Mir is the real contender, not Brock Lesnar. Now the real champion will have to fight a guy to get the contender spot.
Geez, IT IS all about the money, the sport has lost it’s soul.

  77. Trooper08 on November 16th, 2008 2:46 am

Of course Brock deserves to be the champ. How could someone beat the crap out of the champ and not deserve be the champ? Regardless of the pecking order.

  78. KimboDaBeast on November 16th, 2008 2:47 am

I can take a punch from Lesner and then destroy him in a match. After Im done with him, bring on Fedor. I am mean and pissed off. I will take on anyone and anywhere. Kimbo, remember that name!!!

  79. Ty117 on November 16th, 2008 2:50 am

At the pace that was set, Randy would of won this fight hands down. Brock was the one checking the clock towards the end of the 1st. Randy Couture is still my hero, and will be back stronger than ever. You can’t count out Captain America.

  80. PublicThreat on November 16th, 2008 2:51 am

STFU NEWB BROCK HIT RANDY IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD

Randy would of Owned Brock Cuz he Was already starting to get tired.

  81. Wylian on November 16th, 2008 2:55 am

by the way, at 2:09 of the second round, the punch landed kinda of to the back of Randy Couture’s head, he kinda of got Matt Serra’d.

  82. THORAZINE on November 16th, 2008 3:04 am

That punch Lesnar threw to knock down Couture reminded me a lot of that 1st punch Matt Serra grazed the back of GSP’s head before Serra capitalized on a seris of punches to end their 1st fight.

I said that in my above post.. it was a wierd glancing blow that throws everything out of wack… kind of a lucky shot in a way since it wasn’t flush, rather pinpointed a spot that a fighter couldn’t hit even if he was aiming for it.

  83. KimboDaBeast on November 16th, 2008 3:13 am

I am a beast in the ring. Ill go up against Lesnar and Couture at the same time KO both.
I am and will always be the best and #1 p4p ever to live.

  84. MMAFighter on November 16th, 2008 3:19 am

Well… It was a good fight! Maybe not the most explosive one but still great. Most people WANTED couture to win but i think almost everybody had a feeling brock would take it. if you examine the guy despite his massive physique hes fast as all hell and a great striker. His ground game is not the greatest but his massive size makes up for it, because once he drops that center of gravity its like trying to lift a fully loaded ATV off of ozzy osbourne haha.

One thing i didn’t like is when Couture was trying to ground Lesnar, Brock grabbed the fence to level himself about 3 times… which was pretty ******, cuz if Couture took him down who knows where it could have gone, but thats how it goes… Nothing bad on Lesnar, its a reaction… more time in the ring will get rid of that.

Couture did great against the beast and put up a valiant effort, but in the end Lesnars massive size took over.

Some people are pissed about the somewhat knockout punch of Lesnar’s… but i dont see why. Lesnar got a great elbow in a little before that shook Couture up a bit, and if Lesnar had capitilized on that one as he did on the punch, he probably would have won it there.

The punch was sort of grazing… but think of it this way ————————
    1. Brocks strength is HUGE… so that graze still probably felt like a nice smack from Ladell…
    2. The positioning of Couture was ****** when he took that punch, the way hes neck and head were it would have shook him up alot more then a normal strike.
    3. The area it hit can be pretty sensitive, and i can tell you from experience, it definitely puts you in a nice daze haha.
    4. Again, with Coutures positioning, even a slight daze would have made his legs buckle enough to go down, because he was sort of leaning.

Alll in all, Lesnar landed the hit, dove ontop of Randy, and started slamming him with hammerfists like a fat kid fighting to get his kit-kat back…

Good bout boys, both grat brawlers.

  85. Dan on November 16th, 2008 3:23 am

K-blo-me-DaBeast lol… You are a loser. “After Im done with him, bring on Fedor”…spoken like a true mouse warrior. I would slap the **** out of you and I am no where near the level of Randy or Brock. Keep typing lard ass.

  86. BankaiArelleLinia on November 16th, 2008 3:24 am

you guys saying that it was a staged loss are all embarrassing fan to mma and an insult to couture that he would do something like that.
check out 2:15 of round 2 before they broke out of the clench brock throw a devastating knee which clearly affected couture’s legs.
couture lost down cause his leg gave up on him.

  87. G71 on November 16th, 2008 3:28 am

Heres the botton line wether you like or hate Brock Lesnar. First of all it takes more guts and courage to get off the couch and get into a real octagon than most of us have in our entire bone structure. Next, wether your a UFC champion like Couture or a beginner Brock Lesnar is massive, hits hard, and you don’t want to be his next highlight moment, so you give him just like you would anyone who weighs 265+ lbs a little respect in the octagon. Did Brock deserve a title shot? not really, but in this day of pay me now the UFC knew they had a moneymaker like no other, and Randy Couture was not going to be around to see Brock mature into a legitimate fight shot. It would be like asking Michael Jordan to stick around while Kobe Bryant matured so they could go one on one, Jordan long past his prime (couture like).

So now what we have here is a more learned Brock Lesnar vs either Mir or Nog, who both have incredible ground games. Problem is you take Lesnar to the ground and thats 265+ lbs again you have to move around, and also a legit NCAA wrestler, so he’s no slouch either.

IMO to beat Brock you will have to make him tank! Piss him off, make it emotional, and gas him into the 3rd round, 2cd if your lucky, and then proceed to beat the monster as his hamhocks for fists drop below his chin.

  88. les-ner on November 16th, 2008 3:36 am

Kimbodabeast, thinks kimbo will destory lesner?..come on bro kimbo is nothing but a street fighter. He lost to a rookie from the audience..Knocked out in 14 secs.. yeah he can “destroy” lesner..

  89. the mean on November 16th, 2008 3:46 am

obviously and an honest opinion,it’s fixed..

  90. AcDc25 on November 16th, 2008 3:56 am

Randy’s knee gave out on him and Brock took advantage of that. There was no time for Randy to recover from falling backwards, and Brock seized the opportunity. Randy didn’t throw the fight-It was just something unforseen that happened. I had to keep rewatching the fight because I kept hearing that he threw it. I am a fan of Couture, and I refused to believe that he would do that. Brock may be strong, but his ground skills are less than desirable, and his attitude sucks. I never liked him in the WWE, and I still don’t like him in the UFC. Yeah he’s strong, but gimme a break. He’s too sloppy and ametuerish. He shouldn’t have graced Randy’s presence.

  91. classical9 on November 16th, 2008 4:02 am

I didn’t want to believe it but I agree with others: the fight was a fix.

    1) Obviously, the punch looked like it missed. Consider even if it did… Randy wouldn’t have rolled onto his back like that. He can take harder shots, that was literally nothing that hit him. The way he rolled onto his back was laughable.

    2) Brock was punching for what, 7 seconds? Damn. If he was doing real damage Steve would have stopped the fight within 3. Also, I’m not convinced Randy was trying to even defend. He just moved his arm a bit around to Brock but that’s as BS as his fall: Randy had the consciousness to move his arm and he flailed it around a little bit…

I’m also thinking the same thing about the Kimbo fight. That punched looked so weak, without any twisting of the torso, not even a little forward motion or nothing. Just a little “hey here’s a lil jab for you” and BAM he just drops.

This may be a fix, but there’s plenty of good fights left in it in the other divisions. But I understand… Couture decides to come out of retirement for a great deal of money Dana’s offered (the pay-per-view, not the 250,000).

well whatever, I’m done with watching the UFC or mma for that matter. This was just the last good reason to move on.

  92. TheAlmighty20 on November 16th, 2008 4:08 am

I’m quite sure that the UFC has more integrity than to fix any of their fights. Dana White knows that there is a good direction that the UFC can go in no matter who wins. If Brock Lesnar wins, they’ve established their star for the future. If Couture wins, then this will only pump up the next UFC with all of the millions of fans that Couture has. And Brock Lesnar would sometime down the line beat Couture anyway. There is absolutely no reason why the UFC would have to fix this fight. They’re so ahead of any other MMA promotion that a Lesnar loss wouldn’t hurt the company at all.

Really, anybody who thinks that this fight was fixed is in denial that Couture lost and someone like Brock Lesnar can come in and dominate so quickly. Randy was fighting. He almost got to top position on Lesnar and also scrambled nicely to his feet. AND he landed some awesome punches in the clinch.

What’s even worse is that people are still saying, “F U LEZNER GO BACK TO THE WWE! THIS IS MMA NOT WRESTLIN” Why the hell would he do that? Don’t you think he already knows that? Hasn’t he already proved that he belongs in MMA by beating a legend? Idiots.

  93. TheAlmighty20 on November 16th, 2008 4:10 am

Oh and people keep saying, that was a really weak punch, Randy shouldn’t have dropped. And he wasn’t defending.

Go in there and get hit by Lesnar and we’ll see how you react.

  94. MMAJUNKIE on November 16th, 2008 4:10 am

  95. gwizzy on November 16th, 2008 4:18 am

idk y people thinks kimbo is a good fighter…hes nothing…i think the best opponent for lesner is big nog or josh barnett if he comes back to ufc

  96. Anyone questioning this is a complete assclown on November 16th, 2008 4:21 am

He won fair and square, all you whining haters get a life. Randy is a legend but sooner or later he was gonna meet his match, and with some experience and good coaching, anyone doubting someone of Brock’s speed and strength would be a factor is a complete moron and doesn’t understand fighting whatsoever.

As for the Kimbo fanboys, put down the glue kids, Kimbo got beat by a thrid rate MMA fighter.

Brock, Randy, Fedor, Nog would all kill him real fast.

I’m actually hoping Mir gets a rematch so Brock can punch his smug pubic hair wearing jaw off. Ironically Mir’s Jiu Jitsu is Brock’s only weakness now so he still has the best shot beside Fedor.

DANA GET FEDOR UNDER CONTRACT, STOP F%$#^ING AROUND WITH YOUR RIGHTS DEMANDS AND JUST GET IT DONE.

  97. wangcyang on November 16th, 2008 4:23 am

nah not nog, he is about randy’s size and barnett will probably die to fedor so i think the only real challenge to lesnar will be gonzaga or… oh **** look out, SHANE CARWIN!

  99. Anyone questioning this is a complete assclown on November 16th, 2008 4:28 am

And furthermore, what the F^@$# does the UFc have to gain from a fix, they would lose their license with the fight federations if it ever was found out.

You people need to stay off the solvents get off Randy’s **** take some physics lessons, and realize that a guy who goes 106-5 in his NCAA wrestling career, walks around at 285-300lbs can be taught how to do MMA faster than anyone else. He ain’t gonna be putting anyone in any oma platas anytime soon, but with good game plans and patience he can beat anyone except maybe Fedor.

Also trolling an MMA forum with a video as evidence of how stupid your troll is, is possibly the biggest fail ever.

Die in a fire please and thanks.

  103. turtleface on November 16th, 2008 5:46 am

when he knocked him down at the end, i don’t think it was the punch. the punch still hit him, but you can see him elbow come through and pop him it the head. the same thing happened in the begining of the round. the only differance is that he stumbled the first time, but didn’t go down.

but the second time after he got him down, those hammer fists had to have felt like actual hammers hitting him in the head. and the ref stopped the fight because he needed to improve his position, and he wasn’t.

  104. NLBD on November 16th, 2008 6:10 am

well man…. the ref already stopped the fight a lil bit too late….. those hammer fists shouldn’t be that many…….

    FEDOR…………….. WILL KILL THEM BOTH :) -”"”" 4:20 YEA

  106. Sandman on November 16th, 2008 6:12 am

Both fighters deserve to win this fight. but i was a litle disappointed in brock becouse he is much bigger and stronger ,also there is big age difference, It shows how good randy realy is if you can hold brock( big strong heavy guy) against the cage and controle him. lol.

I would love to see brock fight when he is 44 ore 45 years old.lol.

I think that Fedor makes a better chance against brock becourse fedor hits harder than Randy. and fedor puls out a submision easily against big guys.

Don’t get me rong!! I love to see brock fight and resepct him as a sportsman.

And i also think there should be a rematch. I realy think Randy has a good chance to beat brock.

I’ve always been a UFC fan but… I gotta get this off my chest. I think the honor and respect aspect of
Martial Arts is truly $$$$ed now days. I still see real warriors in a GSP or Fedor, but in turn I see alotta fake, self-absorbed lucky punchers getting praised like gods. LOOK you are labeled as warriors, and gladiators act accordingly . BIG UP!: Spider, Fedor, GSP, NOG, Shark, BJ, Pitbull,
PB assassin, Crocop, Florian, Griffin, keep up the good work.

  109. MMAFighter on November 16th, 2008 6:33 am

Guys i have but one thing left to say… I Love Couture just as much as all of you…. but simply because he LOST does not mean the fight was FIXED… stop being immature, and **** off with all the sore losers… especially since it wasn;t even YOU who lost. The fight was fair, Lesnar is ******* massive, and fast, and couture took a shot to the head and his pre-injured leg buckled and Lesnar capitilized by mounting and destroying him with fists…

    STOP WITH THE ********.

again… to recap… just because couture didn’t win, dosent mean the figfht was staged… this is UFC bitches…

  110. means916 on November 16th, 2008 6:35 am

Oh and bout the fight….. Randy got caught on the side/back of the head and got dazed,
Brock capitalized…… Winner Brock Lesnar…… early stoppage ?…… coulda shoulda didn’t….
Too bad for Randy…… Kudos Lesnar….. Enjoy it while it lasts…..

AFFLICTION… KEEP IT UP… I HAVE FAITH YOU WILL BRING BALANCE TO THE FORCE.

Just curious……………..Fedor vs. Silva (Anderson)? who would win ?

  111. razz on November 16th, 2008 6:36 am

Ok…the only one that “gets it” is the last guy who commented, the rest of you are ’sheep’. The fight was fixed, meaning it was pre-determined that Brock would win. Why you ask? Well, so there can be “COUTURE V.S LESNER II”, which means alot of money for UFC. With the recent demise of Elite and loss of vigor of WEC, UFC has to do these kinds of things to stay afloat , thats why they have 3 major cards on the next pay per view. Did you not notice Randy’s ‘lack of interest’ or ’smiling’ demeanor as soon as the fight began, he knew when he had to go down and acted his part. Im not taking skill away from either men, but clearly this fight was an example of sports entertainment, not mixed martial arts!

For my friends with half a brain cell – the fight was fake, but they will both fight again soon!!

  112. eiskalt on November 16th, 2008 6:37 am

no contact on the last punch

  113. Jason on November 16th, 2008 6:38 am

Brock is a punk. He just fought a 45 yr old man and got lucky. For that matter what is some fairy from the WWE doing in the UFC???? With a 3-1 record and he’s fighting for the heavyweight title????? Dana what r u doing???? Brock won’t make it through his next fight. For someone to be a baby in the sport of MMA and disrespect a legend like Randy (saying he’s to old) is a digrace. Let him run his mouth and think he’s a badass. There is nothing better than seeing a showboat getting his chimes rung.

  114. Brad on November 16th, 2008 6:45 am

Oh and about the fight….. Randy…good body movement, strong clinch, soft chin…… Lesnar…… Big hands, Hard punches….Randy got caught with a punch to the side/back of the head and was dazed.
    Brock capitalized…..early stoppage?…..shoulda coulda didn’t….New champion.

AFFLICTION…….KEEP IT UP…… I KNOW YOU SHALL BRING BALANCE TO THE FORCE.

PS: Florian vs. Penn…… can’t wait.

  116. razz on November 16th, 2008 6:46 am

BTW…I agree that Fedor is a better fighter than both, but doesnt get that much press cause he’s not “AMERICAN”, but anyhow a little lesson here….. all this talk about Dana White and UFC integrity…please!! This is a business and UFC has to make money, so if fixing a major fight to push a rematch is what they have to do they will do it. And secondly, DANA WHITE is only part owner of the UFC and basically a face to the organization when in reality its owned by two other brothers from Vegas.

  117. blip on November 16th, 2008 6:50 am

  125. Style on November 16th, 2008 10:00 am

Wow… Just reading all these incongruously nonsensical comments has me in awe.
The first round saw both fighters have their moments, but Lesnar managed a couple of takedowns and a few solid shots on the ground. Thus, he probably took the round even if he looked tired in doing so. In the second, however, both combatants connected with multiple strikes. But it was a right hand to the temple by Lesnar that floored his opponent. From there, Lesnar followed up with several damaging hammerfists before the fight was stopped. Please do not bring up stupid rebuttals such as “ OMG Brock Lesnar sux! All he likes to do is punch people! Learn some ground moves!” Please be competent enough to review Brock’s background Before he entered the WWE. Above all please try to imbed this into your brain, If this is what he is capable of in just his fourth fight imagine what he will be doing five years from now? It’s a daunting thought nonetheless.

  126. Style on November 16th, 2008 10:02 am

Randy is an old man now and was great in his day, but he was not the man to take out a young guy that all he has going for him is his huge size. Brock is going to get his ass kicked, and wont fight now for a long time because he knows it!!!

  128. howudoin000 on November 16th, 2008 10:12 am

The person “Style” should stop posting, not sure if this person is aware, but someone that is an interior decorator should not have a view on MMA!! Brock is a large piece of flesh and that is all!

normally brock should win against randy cause he’s young(brock 31 ,randy 45!common guys!!it’s clear) but there are some fighters who can beat brock:

-cheick kongo (he will put him down like herring, and he’s has knockout power)
    -antony hardonk(striker and strong)
-gabriel gonzaga(strong, and we will submit him)
    -andrei arlovsky(strong and striker)
    -velasquez(wrestler)
-and maybe Junior Dos Santos(boxer,) who can beat him XD i want to see him again knockout brock(

for sure without saying fedor cause he will not beat him but he will kill him!!hhh…

  133. Geoffrey on November 16th, 2008 10:41 am

How could anyone compare Brock to Fedor or even think of a match-up? It’s absurd. Brock should’ve fought Gonzaga, or Tim Sylvia. Randy had everything to lose.

  134. CoutureFan on November 16th, 2008 10:57 am

I think it was the weight difference. Most of the time you see Randy clinched up he explodes with a takedown or short elbows/punches. He didn’t do that here cause he had to use more energy to control Brock’s body. I think he probably would’ve been able to if he got it into the 4th and 5th round, but then again who knows; Brock does the same training that Sean Sherk does, and has a lot of wrestling experience. As far as the UFC goes, their heavyweight division is getting weaker(They recently got rid of Werdum.) I think the BJJ guys (Mir/Noguiera/Gonzaga) or the dangerous strikers with decent ground games like Kongo, Dos Santos, could beat Lesnar. Outside the UFC, there’s a handful of guys that could kill Lesnar. I really do think Randy could win a rematch against Brock though. It’s just unfortunate that he’s 45 and not 35.

  135. Wayne on November 16th, 2008 11:30 am

Randy was doing an excellent job of controlling Lesnar who was getting tired fast.. Randy was doing the right thing by keeping him against the fence and trying for a take down….he’s strong and could have done it…Lesnar’s weight was not an issue. Good job Randy…I don’t any reason why you can’t continue in the UFC.

  136. RED EYE on November 16th, 2008 11:38 am

To the idiot that sauid that Mir Would teach Brock A lesson again , just stop watching MMA. Brock DOMINATED that fight tossing Mir around like a child na dcutting him in the process, the only Offense Mir really landed was when Brock panicked, and got caught in a leg submission. Brock is an animal, and I would like to see the Mir rematch, because I would like to see Brock get his redemption. I think Noguera s a bit too small for rock, And Kimbo is ajoke but that WOuld be the alltime Bestselling PPV if it did happen, but the Fight that would be the best would be Fedor vs Brock,, If thers anybody in the world that have the overall package to contend with fedor its definitely Brock!

  140. Peteyboy on November 16th, 2008 12:03 pm

Randy was once apon a time a great fighter. But the guy is now 45 years old….How many 45 year olds are dominating in professional sports……NONE.

But even when Couture was at his peak, he still didn’t have Lesnars athletic talent. Lesnar is one of the best atheletes in all of MMA. And that’s not including his overpowering size advantage.

As a college wrestler, Lesnar was the best of the best. He was a legitimate NCAA champion. That means he competed against and beat the top college wrestlers in the country.

The guy is only gonna get better and better until there is absolutely noone except another elite athelete of his size and skill to compete against him. I personaly dont like him. I think he’s an obnoxious assclown. But with another 18 months of training, there isn’t anyone currently in the entire UFC who stands a chance.

He’s super fast, incredibly powerful, and friggin huge. Not to mention smart and dedicated to his craft.

The UFC will never be the same.

  141. MMALover on November 16th, 2008 12:21 pm

The UFC really needs a super heavyweight division. The weight difference between Couture and Lesnar was just too big. It’s sad when brute force wins against skills….

  142. JKnaps009 on November 16th, 2008 12:25 pm

I wish the fight went longer. Overall good fight! I thought Randy did great too! Brock just caught him there. I think if Randy was a few years younger he woulda held up and had a better chance at winning. Though was still great. I want to see a rematch with Frank Mir though now for sure and you know Mir is going to be looking at Brock after his next fight.

that fight was fixed ill tell you why first of all brock is a wwf wreastler dana brought him over so he could steal some of the mindless fans from there mo money mo money randy seen what happened to tim sylvia when he fought fedor and he didnt want to get killed in his last fight so he talked to dana and they made this plan considering theres more fans than ever becuase of brock so why not make brock the champ considering that randy has a large stake in zuffa more fans more money whith the weight lifting crowd and the wwf crowd more fans more money think about it he slips and then gets hit with like 20 punches and elbows if thats what you want to call them they didnt look like they were doing chit to me but he acted like he got hit with a freigt train they both diserve a academy award so does rampage and forest lol lets see our new champ fight fedor probably wont happen

  144. TAZ on November 16th, 2008 12:38 pm

I can tell that Lesnar is all about size, he has no skills. With either Mir or Nogueira he will get he ass kicked for the simple reason that he can’t do shiit on the ground. If he goes against Minotauro, I’d like to see how good of a chin Minotauro really has. But if he could get beat like that against Sapp, why not Lesnar.

Talking about Fedor and Arlovski, they are actually fighting on Jan. 24. That’s going to be a hell of a fight. But for me the best fight will be Belfort vs Mousasi. Can’t wait to see those.

To Wayne, who responded to my comment earlier:

Of course weight was an issue, just watch Randy’s fight against Gonzaga. Gonzaga is about 20 lbs. lighter than Brock and Randy was able to explode in the clinch. One reason could be that Gonzaga doesn’t have the wrestling balance that Brock has, but Randy ALWAYS takes guys down with double underhooks. Randy is a better Greco guy than Brock. Randy has to use more energy in his upper body to control Brock because Brock’s huge. Just watch the fight again, and you can see in some situations where Randy is taking some knees to the legs which makes it hard for him to have a stable base for his clinch. The result is that Randy has to use his upper body more. And of course Brock’s upper body is a lot stronger, which makes the weight a big factor.

As far as Brock Lesnar goes, I don’t think he’s good for the sport of MMA. RIght now he’s in a position where he’s labelled as the #1 fighter in the world for those not familiar with MMA. He comes from WWE, and trash talks like Floyd Mayweather. MMA has always been about respect and the sportsmanship of all types of martial arts. MMA should be beyond boxing and WWE, not turned into the same thing. I think PRIDE FC made MMA into a respectable sport, and the UFC twisted it a little a bit. But who knows Brock Lesnar’s attitude may change.

But who knows Brock Lesnar’s attitude may change.

  147. rick on November 16th, 2008 1:12 pm

you guys think highschool wreastling is fighting a punch or knee timed just right will stop any take down instantly most of you guy would rather fight on the ground like animals than fight like men with strikes ufc is quickly turning into wreastling you acualy think is very tactical to lay on your back hopeing for a submission just get back to nature

  148. mikt on November 16th, 2008 1:25 pm

Brock has no skill…for being so much bigger then randy youd think he throw him around…and whats with those hammerfists on the ground?…lol…that looks hilarious….go Randy!!I say rematch cause Randy could have pulled it off.

  149. Zak on November 16th, 2008 1:28 pm

Brock is a freakin’ beast. Been following him since WWE. He will only get smarter and better. I see him dominating for a while.

As for Fedor, he is a bad man, and probably could take Brock at this point in his career, but:

    1) Thats not even in question right now.

    2) Fedor still hasn’t fought Arlovski. I am biased because Andrei is one of my favs, but I definitely dont see that matchup as a walk in the park for Fedor to say the least.

  150. mikt on November 16th, 2008 1:29 pm

Rick not everybody is a striker…thats why the fighters of today are trained in many different MA styles….if you want to see someone kick and punch each other then watch pro kickboxing..wrestling is one of the best training to have in a mma fight..if you cant wrestle and you get taken down by a wrestler your done..i for one like watching the clenches and grappling..sure its not as brutal as a stand up fight but this isnt the gladiatiors of ancient rome now is it?…did you watch gracie stand up to people?..no..because thats not the way he fought..and he beat people left and right

  151. Simeon on November 16th, 2008 1:37 pm

I think everyone needs to quit denying Lesnar and realize that he is the real deal, quite honestly, I can’t see anyone matching him in his size, strength, and speed, not even fedor, brock is just too much of an animal

  152. Someguy on November 16th, 2008 2:09 pm

ok. this is what i think….
first of all, the title shot given to brock was really ridiculous. there are many fighters in this division that couldve given the shot. everybody falls in line and has to climb up and earn not only the title shot but the respect of other players in this game. i believe that this title shot was a set up. i mean c’mon now.. Brock’s MMA record was 2-1, his debut was february if im not mistaken and was beaten. im not saying that brock doesnt deserve the shot, what im saying is there are other players who was more desrving than him, not only because of skills they acquired from the battles that they had but the idea of climbing up the ladder on by one and proving themselves to everybody else.

second, randy retired from UFC the second time for whatever reason between him and the UFC organization. then, some interview from ESPN said Dana White: “.. all of the misunderstandings was settled and everything is worked out… ” i really hate to think this but, is it possible that Randy agreed to sell his legacy? i mean, the fight that he put up was not even a quarter of what he had when he fought Gonzaga. like what Joe Rogan said: “Randy, gave Gonzaga the worst beating in his life…. ” and Gonzaga knew how Randy fights, so much Gonzaga believed in Randy, he even predicted that Randy would win….

I feel bad not because Randy lost, i feel bad due to fact that the fight that i was expecting was not as amusing as i was hoping it would.

UFC is proclaimed as the proving ground of the martial artists, but i guess its not afterall.. besides, business will always be business.

  153. malcolm on November 16th, 2008 2:12 pm

its anoying how everyone keeps saying its fixed if a guy with a hand the size of a damn most peoples head hits you in one of the sofest spots in your skull even a sloppy punch your going down so stop saying it is fixed and **** randy just got hurt and brock capitolized look back at rampage vs liddel 2 bairly connected but knocked him of hes feet serra vs gsp 1 same thing there is tones of fights out there that where the same

  154. rayner on November 16th, 2008 2:36 pm

well, all i can say… couture was great but the beast’s power was just too much for his age!
    big hand to both anyway!

  155. MikeInMaine on November 16th, 2008 2:44 pm

lesnar’s calfs are like thimbles! (stick-legs) I’m 155 and have 3x the calfs this bufoon has. Fedor would make him cry like a little girl. Then again, so won’t Minotauro.

  156. Mark Maidens on November 16th, 2008 2:51 pm

wow …i have never heard so much ********, just when i think im hearing a sensible comment i hear crap like ”he is to old” or ”it was a fix”.

Randy coutour did an excellent job at controlling leznar, in fact i was surprised to see him control the wrestling aspect of the fight as well as he did, leznar has worked very hard on his MMA game and im impressed how hes made the transition from wrestling to MMA, the WWE aspect of this mans game is irrellevent he was a national wrestling champion and thats what he brings to the cage, Randy losing this fight is nothing to do with his age, its just MMA, anyone can be knocked out at any time in a fight, i actually would have liked to see the ref stop this a little sooner.

Up to that point Randy was winning the fight, now i dont mean that litterally i.e scoring, i mean he would have gassed brock and slowly ground him down, you could see it happening and you could also see Brock knew it was happening, he was giving up on his wrestling to beat Coutour and turning to his pretty impressive knock out power.

My hats off to Brock hes definitely brought something fresh to the heavyweght division but this fight shows Nothing negative about Coutour only his continuing and amazing ability to beat any opponent whatever the size and dare i say it age of his opponents.

  157. DownSouth on November 16th, 2008 3:16 pm

BROCK = TSAR BOMB! (if ya don’t know what it is, look it up) LOL

I am most shocked it went more the one round. I figured Brock would do something dumb and get subbed out or Brock would just go ape crazy and pound randy into dust…

What a finish as well…sheessssh oh petes, I am shocked randy was able to talk afterwords..LOL

  158. datruth on November 16th, 2008 3:39 pm

Whoever sed that the fight was fixed is a f*cking idiot. UFC is as real as it gets, and Dana White would never do something like that…he sed it like a million times and hes a not a lier.

Quit being idiots and give Brock repesct

btw, Brock was impressive…his boxing skills improved dramatically

  159. burkanuck on November 16th, 2008 4:00 pm

That was no phantom punch. I have watches it over and over and it looks like he missed with the fist but nailed him with the forearm/elbow. Randy Couture has way too much class to take a dive. Give your heads a shake!

  160. JP on November 16th, 2008 4:15 pm

randy is the man he steped up and stood his ground it is just time to pass the torch. now for all u haters there is no way u can watch that viedo and tell me randy didnot get nailed behind the ear and he was rocked by the knee broc threw in the first exchange good fight. way to go broc & for the dumbass that said the fight was fixed u dont know dana white

  161. frontenac53 on November 16th, 2008 4:17 pm

  162. karim88 on November 16th, 2008 5:04 pm

REMEMBER guys, KONGO or HARDONK or JUNIOR DOS SANTOS or GONZAGA will beat brock easily!!! and brock is more bigger than randy with 50 lb like if we put chuck liddell against florian or wandy against sherk!hhhhhhhhh you see the difference!! i want to see DOS SANTOS against BROCK , boxer vs wrestler to see if he really has good chin or KONGO against BROCK to see kongo slam the best wrestler , or HARDONK against brock to see if brock has iron leg to resist those kik that hardonk throw, sure HARDONK will break his leg!!!hhhhhh….so ???agree or not????

  163. noob on November 16th, 2008 5:04 pm

the big knees and huge punches threw by lesnar destroyed randy

  164. Blackhawk on November 16th, 2008 5:54 pm

This crap of the fix being is comical. I guess none of them have ever been caught in the temple with a hard shot. He was leaning back got smacked and Brock’s fist bounced off. It may have given the appearance of a glance to some but one of the angles clearly shows he got rocked with it.

Randy is too classy a guy to be in on a fix. The one joker that went on and on about fixes being in on Rampage vs Forrest fight and saying eliteXC admitted that they had fixed a kimbo fight is so full of it he/she is swimming in it.

Bottom line Brock is a freak of nature not to mention 14 years younger than Randy. For the first time Randy looked his age…his body looked older and while he got some shots in that was due to Lesnar’s inexperience and him not fearing Randy’s punches. Love Randy but I think we just saw his last fight. Not sure he will ever admit it but the year off really hurt him.

  165. PuNcH on November 16th, 2008 6:10 pm

every time a match is close or you don’t have a highlight real knockout some low life always calls a fix – like some moron trying to look clever. Someone tried to call chuck getting KTFO a fix lol

Its the nature of things on the internet

  166. stickman on November 16th, 2008 6:36 pm

I really don’t like Brock but hats off… he came up with the win and I’d say stood and and dominated Couture most of the fight… The guys complaining about the final whiff shot apparently didn’t watch the whole match and have never been in a true fight. Brock hit Couture with MANY hard shots right on the chin… I don’t care if Couture had 30 seconds of grapple time to get his head back… that just clears the cobwebs a little… but each of those shots takes a toll. It was the shot about 6 seconds before the phantom punch that did the damage and put him down. Sucks for Brock cause had he truly “knocked” him out with a hard shot all the naysayers and couture fans couldn’t say anthing.

Bottom line… Brock was too big and too strong for Couture to use his regular gameplan on and I don’t think he expected him to be so fast. They are two top end wrestlers… one a few years from his glory days… one 20 years from his glory days… Nuf said!

  167. henz on November 16th, 2008 7:08 pm

brock won because he is the better man,i also like randy but at the very first time hearin the news i knew it .it wud be brock. be logical with the age and size advantage..hope brock kicks more ass

  168. rick on November 16th, 2008 7:30 pm

man you guys have no idea about the politics of the fight game they give that roid monster a title shot after 3 fights with 1 loss you guys acualy think dana white owns ufc you guys are lost.real fighters are as follows fedor ,lyoto machida, bj penn, st piere, anderson silva ect

  169. keysersoza on November 16th, 2008 8:37 pm

Razz and Rick, thank you… Most of these guys leaving comments must be pimpled face teenagers who spend their afternoons toking bongs and doing back yard wrestling. This is all about politics and money. I respect Dana white but he is a businessman first and a fight fan second. Im theorizing, they offered to cover Randy’s Legal expsenses, kicked him a couple of hundred thousand to take a dive but look good passing the torch to lesnar. Dont get me wrong..lesnar is the future of the heavyweight division, but the fix was in. ALso..was I the only one Noticing when randy had Lesnar against the cage in the clench…it appeared he was speaking to him?? SHades of professional wrestling!! And for the idiot that stutters while he types and says im hating… exactly what am i hating on??? I like LEsnar..I like COuture..I just dont like MY MMA fights being predetermined.

  176. Trooper08 on November 17th, 2008 12:15 am

Anyone who thinks brock is not for real never competed in any combat sport and should move the **** away from the computer. The truth is, there is a size limit to everything, and ANYONE who fights brock has a tremendous disadvantage. Lets not forget Couture was TKO’d by Rico Rodriguez, as Rico had a major size advantage as well. So to say Brock just has strength and nothing else is a retarded statement in itself. Its like saying Usain Bolt is not a real record holder because he has speed and nothing else.

More importantly, brock is not just big. He is incredibly powerful and quick. Very athletic and has great wrestling technique. Whoever said Check Gonzo has a chance against Brock needs to get his head examined. Once brock learns the fundaments of BJJ, he would wipe the floor with anyone is the UFC including Nog.

  177. anonymous on November 17th, 2008 12:44 am

brock does have heavy hands no matter how slow it looked its gonna hurt but when brock had him down those hammer shots were not affecting courter its just that brock was doing that trying to get the reff to stop it by landing multiple shots with out courter blocking them but they werent hurting him but the reff had to stop it for that. and to his size u guys r talking about one of the greatest fighters said this …there is so subsitute for size and strength and that came from bruce lee supposely considered one of the greatest fighters to live.and courter was dazed not knocked out and brock jumped on it also its sickens me that now in these sports if ur the next big thing no matter wat casue u bring in the big bucks u can lose 1 and win 3 and go for the belt like common nog or mir should of had that chance before brock casue they been around for years not months. like the above guy said if theres money to be made that goes before anything else but brock is still sloupy and when nog faces him casue he has an amazing chin just watch the fedor fights with those 2 and brock don’t have the ground work sub power as nog does which he loves to do and can stand up and trade blows also so i hope its nog and brock next after the mir fight cause i know nog is gonna win that.

  178. KimboDaBeast on November 17th, 2008 1:12 am

Dana is smart by not putting me in the mix because I will dominate the HW division. It will make alot of sense to put me up against Lesner…think about how much ppv we will sell. Probably the best fight ever!!! Yes Kimbo lost his last fight since he was not prepare to fight. Kimbo thought it was an insult to fight an unknown opponent. However Kimbo is prepare to face whoever brought in front on him now. Hands down, Kimbo is a force to be reckon with.

Kimbo promise a big KO if he fights Lesner. Think about it Dana.

…??? who was talking about baseball or basketball i said football got damn it…fixing in football would be way to obvious..just like a fix in fight’…you can tell when a guy takes a dive…and in this case it didn’t happen…randy just got tko’d end of story…i understand your butt hurt that randy loss…but just get over it…and you considering that randy would even think about taking a dive is sad…he went through all that mess with the ufc just to come back and take a dive????….ya right…now go put your mom’s nipple back in your mouth cry baby.

usual retarded quote, “I’ve always been a UFC fan but… I gotta get this off my chest. I think the honor and respect aspect of
Martial Arts is truly $$$$ed now days. I still see real warriors in a GSP or Fedor, but in turn I see alotta fake, self-absorbed lucky punchers getting praised like gods.”

Shut up. What’s the matter with you? You think Brock doesn’t train like a maniac? God forbid someone have physical gifts and size overcome technique. What do you think, that if you have technique you’ll be able to beat up rhino just bc you study submissions? or you’ll be able to beat up the universe? Come on. This is fighting and there are many aspects to the game. Size and strength is one. Wrestling is another, which Brock is top level at that, so to even suggest that Brock is some lucky punk is ridiculous. So many fighters come in an expert at one level, and have to train hard to become the full package. I believe Randy started off the exact same friggin way. I don’t know why Brock takes so much heat.

If you want martial arts to be purely an art form, then go do kata.

  181. joe j on November 17th, 2008 1:51 am

I don’t get why people are saying that randy took a dive for a pay off. why would dana white just throw money at couture when couture is doing business with a competing mma franchise that is probably gonna get alot of the top fighters over seas like the pit bull and fedor. affliction is in talks to combine with K-1 and start televising events on CBS in place of Elite XC. Doesnt make alot of sense for dana to fuel his competion.

  182. Christianity on November 17th, 2008 2:44 am

to say “brock is a clumsy giant” or “he got lucky” and to even compare him with other fighters like tim sylvia or that clown kimbo slice is just ignorance from all you haters stuck in the wwe past. the man was an ncaa wrestling champ and a runner-up before that. he is prolly the strongest guy in the ufc. i was expecting a good fight in this one since im a big fan of both, it is true that brock didn’t convince a few of you in the end, but please dont post some ignorant $hit if you know nothing about wrestling and “mma” itself. think about it are you willing to take a lunchbox hit from brock to prove me wrong???? or can you somehow outwrestle an experienced giant on the mat??? i didnt think so

  183. Randy, Randy on November 17th, 2008 2:49 am

2 say that Randy took a dive for the money is just plain stupidity, its an insult to randy’s pride. this is probably said by people who knownothing of the sport. randy gave it his all he stood up with the giant something Mir or Herring couldnt do ( he actually shut off his left eye) so instead of all these insults you guys should be thanking him for his huge efforts like always…Randy is still my Hero

  184. alex on November 17th, 2008 3:04 am

That was a stupid fight. Brock sucks at MMA. The only reason he won is cause he’s wide and heavy.Tim Slyvia might have been tall but at least he was narrow. Randy got tired out trying to wrestle that freaking elephant to the ground. I dont know what the hell he was thinking taking that fight. I dont know what the hell Dana White was thinking setting up that fight. Brocks 2 weight classes bigger than Randy. That was a freak show not an MMA fight. The UFC is going downhill fast. Its all about spectacle now, not true MMA. This crap is for retards that cant stop staring at a bloody car crash.

    NO FLUKE

  189. Justin on November 17th, 2008 9:04 am

Yeah I Agree its no fluke AT ALL, and the only thing that was crazy was Couture going in at 220 against a man at waigh in 265, and by the time the fight started 275, it was just a harsh match up, even though Fedor isn’t 265 he would still rape brock with Power/Experience, and overall better skill, i would put my Bank Account on the true MMA champ FEDOR

  190. Russ on November 17th, 2008 9:46 am

It was actually a pretty serious hit at the end. It’s hard to tell on this one, but look for better quality videos than this; you’ll see Lesnar nail Couture in the temple.

Everyone underestimated Brock Lesnar, just because its his 3rd fight he still has a wrestling backround and 30 pounds more them him. Randys a really good fighter and top 3 in the world. RANDY DID PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT THO KEEPING BROCK AGAINST THE CAGE HE JUST COULD NT DO ANYTHING WITH IT,HIS PUNCHES WAS DOING WELL JUST BROCKS KNOCK OUT PUNCHES ARE SO POWERFULL CAUGHT RANDY OUT.WELL DONE BROCK PROVED THE THEM WRONG AGAIN.

  196. ksg on November 17th, 2008 3:30 pm

Randy could have won the fight but, only with a specific game plan:
1: Since it is 2 wrestlers it would be a clinch war, Randy’s best course of action would have been to just drag it out and frustrate Brock.
2: Brock’s Strength is great but we do not know his cardio, he should have dragged the fight till the championship rounds.

    Thats my analysis

  197. KonaBoy on November 17th, 2008 4:41 pm

What is wrong with you people….this is the reason why they have weight classes. The size difference is the same as K-flo vs. Rashad Evans…I would love to see how many of you would bet on Florian?…any takers…It was not a fix, there is no point in a rematch unless you want to see Couture killed. Did you see the start of the match when Brock was kneeing Couture in the legs? Couture was lifted off the ground twice. Couture clocked with about 4 rights in the second round and Brock didn’t flinch…Coutures lucky to have his teeth. They could fight another ten times and the outcome would be the same….Couture has never knocked anyone out with punching power, and he hasn’t got the best chin in the world either…he took a bad elbow and a couple hard knees…Couture was gassed after the first round…Watch him in his corner sitting down, his chest is puffing up like balloon, he can’t get enough air – he was working too hard pushing around 300 lbs of Brock. He would never have went the full 5 rounds. Randy’s only advantage is that he has 15 years of experience on Brock…coincidentally he has 15 years on Brock….Long live the new champ deserve it or not…that monster right hand is going cause a lot of problems…

  198. T-duBB on November 17th, 2008 4:56 pm

  199. T-duBB on November 17th, 2008 4:59 pm

I don’t see how Couture was gassed, he has legendary conditioning and endurance. Couture is for sure the better wrestler, but not the better fighter. Lesnar is of but withstanding of the most base diction for being an absolute monster.

  200. logan on November 17th, 2008 4:59 pm

Most of you guys have obviously never been hit before. If you think that those hammerfists were weak then you’re a complete idiot. The fight wasn’t fixed either. There is no way Randy of Dana would do something like that. I know Brock is a big arrogant prick and I know Randy is a great guy and a good fighter but he lost fair and square. He probably would have lost even if Brock didn’t land that lucky punch too. If there is a rematch, my money is on Brock. I hate to say it but I don’t see anyone beating him anytime soon. When he first came over to the ufc I was excited because of his wrestling credentials and the possibilities he had because of his size and strenght but his attitude is quickly making him some one I love to hate. Either way, he keeps getting better and he will be one tough s.o.b. to beat in the future.

  201. blahblah on November 17th, 2008 5:51 pm

Randy has heart but captain america … he’s so over hyped .. before someone argues with me .. go luck at his record .. he losses almost half his fights a more than a few of them he gets knocked out .. i like fighters like Randy who don’t give up .. lose and come back regrouped, better trained but seriously people .. 16 wins, 9 losses with 5 of those losses he was ko’d

  202. nascar56 on November 17th, 2008 6:26 pm

  203. rob on November 17th, 2008 7:34 pm

i had to watch it abunch of times but I don’t think the punch could be the culprit, must have been that jab but randy was already throwing that uppercut which makes it look like he didn’t go down until the punch. Randy showed that he wasn’t afraid of that beast. Randy hit brock with some of the hardest punches ive ever seen. He was just too big for randy thats all there is to it. I know Dana White has a love affair with Brock lesnar worse than the mainstream media was with obama. Cuz Frank Mir already beat brock yet brock gets title shot before MIr…hmm ok

  204. Bernard Bourgeois on November 17th, 2008 7:37 pm

Randy Couture, what can i say the sports greatest. put a vailliant effort against Brock Lesnar and the better man won. Randy is and will be for a long time an inspiration to many up and coming fighter as the greatest in the sport. Brock Lesnar an up and coming star in mma will be a force to reckon with for a while.

  205. Sammyboi88 on November 17th, 2008 7:51 pm

lol if i read about sum1 else sayin this is a staged fight…….

look we all kno that u cant stage fights in mma lol look wat happened to the elitexc and they didnt even stage the fight they jus paid off seth 2 keep the fight standing and i dont think the ufc wants 2 take that chance

AND RANDY DIDNT FLOP HE DUCKED HIS HEAD LOW AND GOT HIT N THE TEMPLE BY A 276 LB BEAST IM PRETTY SURE IF YALL CAUGHT JUST A FRACTION OF THAT BLOW YALL WOULD B LAYIN IN A HOSPITAL BED ON LIFE SUPPORT!!!!!!!

and if it was staged wouldnt the fight have been more suspenseful and gone 2 like the 4th or 5th round hmmmmmmmm

“Great fight, thumbs up to Randy for putting in the good effort to defeat the gorilla. Too bad he couldnt pull it off.”

I can’t believe i agree with Cashville this time, but, he hit the nail on the head. Plus i have to admit that Brock dominated. Can’t wait to see who wins the Nog vs Mir fight.

  209. Shorin Ryu karate on November 18th, 2008 12:58 am

ohh man Randy got robbed that shoulda been stoped for a phantom punch to the base of the spine the fighter is allowed a 15 second recovery for an illegal hit like that he woulda comeback scorned and out for blood the im not sayin won the fight but it would have had a better more fair end he prolley woulda whooped big brockie though and i went to school in whapeton ND just a few miles from webster SD where brock is from and I live 60 miles from alex where lesner has been training and I still say randy is the talent he shoulda kept his title its not fair they need a rematch and I double my bet on couture

  210. Justin on November 18th, 2008 6:08 am

The wasnt a Spine hitm, he hit him above the ear, your just blind… And I wouldnt get to crazy over Brock when he hast to fight Nogueira. That freak fought Fedor twice and put up an amazing fight for someone like Fedor, i dont think Brock is going to be able to handle his style and chin

  211. Ceres on November 18th, 2008 8:10 am

i am a big randy couture fan… but, brock won the fight… congratulations..

it just seemed funny that brock couldn’t overpower randy… just imagine the size difference… but then again, brock won… and he is now the UFC Heavyweight Champion… at least for now…

but randy was, is, and will always be the greatest fighter in UFC history… he will always be CAPTAIN AMERICA… and he will always be my hero…

  212. Rick on November 18th, 2008 8:48 am

Comparing Kimbo with UFC fighters is garbage. Kimbo has no brains. All he can think of is how to land his punch – doesn’t even know how to parry a punch or sidestep, how much more to counter a takedown. Landing a punch is only 1/3 ot the concern – the other two is how to get out of harms way and how to put urself in an advantageous position.

Dana is not that stupid as to taint the image of his fighters with a bogus personality. I bet even welterweight St Pierre can ran over him without breaking much sweat. Brock has brains that’s why he has been improving. He is not that reckless compared to his earlier fights. He is now more patient and methodical.

I like couture more. if he has the power near brock, the fight could have been over the first round. Bottomline, Lesnar as champion is legit. UFC is legit. That’s that.

  213. jimbo on November 18th, 2008 10:26 am

Surprise for me was that Couture nullified Brock’s main advantage – huge size and wrestling skills. Brock dominated Mir and Herring with power but in this fight Couture for the most part was controlling Brock.

Couture’s wrestling is much better than Brocks and considering he is so much lighter, his conditioning is better too. Brock’s reach (and some impressive striking) made him dagerous to box with but Randy landed some nice hits. First round, Randy controlled the fight more, both of them landed hits and Brock got two takedowns (but didn’t do anything). Randy had a very good takedown effort and had Brock lifted off the ground but cage holding is what kept Brock upright. Brock probably won the round (if you don’t want to deduct a point for cage holding).

Randy achieved what he wanted to achieve and did look to have Brock starting to tire. Can understand Couture saying he got caught. Although Brock’s hit was thrown with the intention of hitting the front/side of Randy’s head, it surely wasn’t intended to hit the back of the weaving Couture. The positioning of Couture and the placement of the punch to that part of the head makes for a pretty nasty hit.

Having said all that, Brock has shown that for a huge guy he is fast, powerful and has fairly decent stamina for his size (although this I feel is still a point that can be exploited). He can wrestle, ground and pound and also strike fairly well. He can also take a fair hit. Against a good wrestler though, he can be exploited, and as long as a good submitter doesn’t get KO’ed by him, he can look quite vulnerable to submissions at times.

Nog and Mir I think will ge beaten by Brock if they fight him. Brock is too fast and powerful and will be able to man-handle them. With his punching/ground and pound (that will only improve) he has a good chance of being able to knock them around and avoid being submitted (unlike Lesnar v Mir I).

Randy is on the money when he says Fedor would take Brock out. Fedor is a strong wrestler (like Randy he will counter Brock’s wrestling), so won’t be knocked around. But he is also an explosive striker and a great submitter. He would find the holes and beat up Brock.

Would love to see Randy v Fedor!

  214. Rick on November 18th, 2008 11:38 am

what if . . . Couture can develope an effective kick in his ensemble. a kick not higher than the crotch. a kick that would weaken the legs – especially the knee. Couture is a pretty balanced fellow and light in his feet. developing am effective quick kick would be great against big guys like brock – always shifting attack from top to bottom. it doesn’t matter how strong and big a guy is if his legs are taken under him he is most vulnerable.

Also, I want to see a punch to the knee, quads or shin. Set up the guy and find the opportunity to attack him above and immediately shift the attack below, striking the knee. An effective blow above the kneecap is delibitating.

I hope Couture comes back sooner and stronger and possessing a dangerous kick at his disposal among others.

  215. rick on November 18th, 2008 12:20 pm

you guys must get koed easy i hit a telephone pole going 80 mph and it didnt knock me out your saying that glancing blow koed couture maybe it did either way if a 150 pound guy like me can stand somewhere around 100000 pds of force he must have a glass chin or the fix was in fedor is me and my car and brock is the telephone pole crack

  216. Marshall on November 18th, 2008 1:54 pm

  217. logan on November 19th, 2008 12:33 am

I don’t see where Lesnar looked gassed. Just because some one looks at the clock doesn’t mean they are tired. Knowing your time is strategic. Its essential, Its something you learn to do when you compete in a sport like mma or wrestling. Anyway, I don’t think He has any problems with his conditioning, I’ve seen him train and I’ve seen his college wrestling matches and I just don’t think he is easily gassed like everyone says.

  218. john on November 19th, 2008 12:56 am

Randy is getting too old for this game.Age is catching up with him. Brock will soon find out that you cannot win all your fights by strength alone. But well done, to him

  219. Michael Collins on November 19th, 2008 3:00 pm

I think Randy took a dive for various reasons.

Besides the skimming punch to the back of the right ear that supposedly knocked him backwards, a fighter at the age of 45 is probably considering retirement. But who wants to retire when they still owe $50,000 to the media firm TOAST? Not to mention that he was favored to win. He could have easily bet against himself and taken a dive in order to make the money nesessary to pay his debt. And no one wants to go into retirement in debt.

  222. lesnar=NO TALENT on November 20th, 2008 3:49 am

Why in the hell are they giving him a title shot after 3 fights? and why is everyone so hyped up about this no talent gigantic piece of ****? he couldnt make it on the vikings, then he goes to fake wrestling but he feels he cant be the true athlete he is so he moves to ufc where all he knows is…lets review all of his fights…oh yeah that’s it GROUND AND POUND. he goes for the take down (although in this fight he didn’t) then once he’s in his comfortable repetitive state of ground and pound he hammer fists the **** out of someone and then he earns the title? why cant anyone see that all his so called talent is ground and pound without any technicality whatsoever? he doesn’t earn the title at all. it should be taken away and given to someone who actually has worked hard for it. and if u would like to argue that he actually is a good fighter then lets take a step out of reality for a second and say lesnar is now 5′ 11 220…do u think he could use his bigness to earn him the belt now? no. all he has is that he’s really strong and good at take downs. it’s been proven when he fought frank mir, someone with a little technicality. he went out there like he always does with too much intensity because he was scared because he doesn’t know what he’s doing and once he has the take down that’s when he’s comfortable, only it didn’t work with frank mir and he got his ass tapped out. this is like watching a street fight where one of the fighters is so scared that all he’s going to do is keep throwing punches as many as possible and as fast as possible (there’s no talent in that, it just proves that the one throwing all those punches is going to do whatever it takes to try and get the knockout rather than taking it slow and being a able to take a few punches like a real man in a real fight can)…this is the ufc not a ****** brawl. im not saying lesnar went out there doing nothing but throwing fists but it reminds me of someone in a fight who’s scared so all he does is throw out all of his intensity and aggressiveness as fast as possible so he can get out of this uncomfortable state of not knowing what he’s doing

  223. Shawn on November 20th, 2008 5:16 pm

Well First of all the last punch wasnt the decidin blow it was the knee a few seconds before, randy must have been dazed by brocks knee and when they got back to facin each other randy must’ve just lost his strength when brock came at him and he had to dodge, but just lost it and roled back.

  226. omar on November 21st, 2008 8:13 pm

I believe that Broc Lesner could be an excellent fighter if he trains hard enough, he was a wrestler in the ncaa and champion so he has that skill, but mma is different he will learn as he go in ufc. Let’s say that he did his best and won. All he really has to learn is submissions, quickness, how to box and learn swift kicks more.Maybe take some aikiado lessons or jeet kun do and he will do great but ufc fighters need to improve their boxing skills they look so slow but their ju jitsu is dangerous.

  227. kevin on November 22nd, 2008 8:35 am

Randy Couture is 10 times the fighter Brock Lesner is….. this was a bull*hit way for his legacy to end in the heavyweight division or in any aspect…. Simply put the UFC needs a super heavyweight division for monguloids like Brock, none of the other divisions have to contend with a guy out weighing another by 45 fn pounds…just to clue ya in Brock fans …take this fight however ya want but Randy is the better fighter that is a fact as far as I’m concerned, it is what it is, he just got caught by a guy with 45 pounds on him and has soupbones for fists. How dose a guy come in and get a title shot after Losing to Mir and defeating the Texas Crazy Horse who is not even a top 5 contender any way, he had proved nothing for a title shot.

  228. Celt on November 23rd, 2008 10:53 am

Awesome fight… Randy has more fight than anyone half his age or twice his size deserves and he fought an amazing bout. I think Brock has overcome the critics and his own shady WWE past to prove that he’s a phenomenal athlete, fighter and hopefully his critics will be momentarily silenced.

I do, however, want to know if the knockout blow in this fight was legal… looked a little like it connected the back of Randy’s head, which would make it illegal, whether intentional or not. Re-match? I know I’d love to see it!! (“,)

  229. Tashana on November 26th, 2008 7:41 pm

Shame on Dana White, Brock should have never had a shot at the title. He has not served his time nor does he deserve the repect that comes with the title. Dana White and the UFC insulted Randy who has been one of the greatest fighters ever and a money maker for Dana. Just goes to show you, greed will take away honor everytime . Dana, Randy should kick you ass.

Its funny how people just can’t believe that a person with amateur record of 106-5 is a real fighter. I guess you have to tell yourselves whatever you can to feel better about him beating “real fighters”. And no one was calling Ken Shamrock phony for going into the wwe and coming back to mma. Not to mention randy won the heavyweight title in his 4th mma fight. Get over it Brock is real and if someone offers you a once in a lifetime shot for the title and you are new to the game you would take it.

  233. profirejs on December 3rd, 2008 9:10 pm

I think Brock showed alot of improvement from his last fight and my hats off to him but i dont think he deserved a title shot with only 3 fights under his belt. He shouldve had to earn his title shot like everyone else, and i agree that Fedor will whip Lesnars ass if or when they ever step in the ocatgon. Randy i think deserves a rematch and hopefully will get one in the near future.

  234. Jimmy Swartz on December 5th, 2008 12:25 am

  239. Dosen't Matter on December 17th, 2008 2:44 pm

Brock Lesnar dose not know how to ground and pound, even when his opponent is down and dazed… I dont know why they would let a newcomer face the face of UFC not long after he just arrived, Brock should of been fighting someone other then Couture. Brock is what makes me think UFC is fake since we all know WWE is. I dont think Brock can become the heavyweight champ, I think Dana White will make him the champ…

  240. Jaypak on January 27th, 2009 8:53 pm

I talked to my boy fedor the other day and he said that the reason he doesnt want to join the ufc cause most of the high paid and better fighters are there. To keep his winning streak and support of his ignorant fans, he wants to stay on the lower organization.
He also said that he can beat brock anywhere and anytime, just not on a weekends. *note all ufc fights are on saturday nights*
Thats all i he could say cause it was time to change his diaper.

  241. John on January 28th, 2009 3:35 pm

I might consider Dana wanting to fix the fight and letting Brock win but as far as Couture giving up a fight, i seriously doubt that. With all his achievements as a fighter and as a hall of a famer i seriously doubt he would risk those by throwing in a fight.
If you guys keep saying that this fight is fixed it would only ruin couture’s credibility as a fighter so think first before you start trash talking.

    @Jaypak
LoL hehehe until Fedor moves up to ufc i really can’t consider him as the best.

  243. Wolfman Dave on February 19th, 2009 8:00 am

I see many people here still don’t give Brock props. Brock proved himself beyond a doubt when he owned Herring in 3 rounds. Herring who is a extremely versatile, well rounded, and heavly decorated UFC/MMA Veteran couldn’t handle Brock. Brock is smarter, faster and more powerful than ever. Mir said that Lesnar’s speed is incredibly deceptive. And his fists are the largest in the UFC if not all of MMA (XXXXL). We all saw that with the quick jab that knocked Herring over. Brock is just going to get better and better. He trains hard, he works hard. He only lost to Mir because he got overly anxious and lost focus. Now with Lesnar realizing he needs to think, work, take his time and plan his course of actions… I don’t even think the Pitbull will be able to handle him.

Congrats Brock from a fellow fighter and Minnesotan.

And on the last punch that brought Randy down… It doesn’t take much from hands and a body that big to do damage. I’ve seen people go down with less back in my time of fighting in doing Amateur Contests.

People quit hating… Brock is jut going to keep winning, because he is the best!!!!!!

  244. What dose it matter on March 1st, 2009 9:23 pm

Brock Lesnar is a joke, though his power is not… I liked him even more in WWE when he actually knew what he was doing… Brock Lesnar is a loser in my book and he will remain there, and if Brock dose become the UFC heavyweight champion I will no longer be a fan of the UFC. Just because Brock dropped the “older” and “smaller” Randy dosen’t make him the best… Look how he finished Randy, that ground and pound was just pathetic, thus making Randy look pathetic… Honestly I hope Brock Lesnar gets killed in the octagon, nevermind knocked out… and for those of you who beleive Brock is the “Best” then you too are pathetic, and probably never fought a day in your life, enough said.

  245. Sam on June 20th, 2009 2:30 pm

Lesnar sucks, he has no style, no class, no skills. Only strenght and weight. He’ll never be a fighting legend like Randy and I bet he’ll bite the dust sooner than people think.
Just imagine what would have happened if he was Randy’s size or if it was him the lighter…
Be aware that Randy is the Natural, while he’s certainly another Steroid dumbass. No, there is nothing else to say except that the UFC is perverted. Big and easy money is turning it into a pathetic circus where fighters and fans are disrespected by Dana the White clown.

  246. Shane on June 26th, 2009 7:21 pm

It wasn’t a phantom punch. He caught him with his elbow on the follow through. Directly behind the ear which is a really dangerous spot to get hit on. Rewatch it several times. Don’t watch his fist. Watch his follow through with the elbow. That is what finished him.

The followup to finish it was very unschooled though. It was almost like he knew he had him finished and didn’t want to hurt him too much. All it would have taken was two or three heavy elbows and Randy might be walking with a limp.

  250. cal on March 6th, 2010 12:16 pm

Not an impressive performance by a man 13 years younger, 2 inches taller, and 70 pounds heavier. I thought Brock would beat Fedor, but after seeing this fight, if Fedor could survive the initial takedowns and take it to round 2 like Couture, he would win. Fedor’s striking game is much better and much more lethal than Couture’s.
