He ran for the first round purposley making Liddell chase. If you listen to the post fight interview Evans said he had to beat Liddell "at his own game". Liddell is the counter puncher supreme he does not like being the aggressor. Evans made him have to be. Watch the fight in the second round evans begins to pick liddell of with jabs and fast 1 2s. Liddell becomes fustrated and stalks evans. Then you look, Evans knew what Liddell was going to do he sets his feet waits for Liddell to throw he knew he would drop his left as he always does and he gambled he would be quicker he put everything into that shot.
