I thought it was going to be straight 29-28’s for Sherk, guess the judges thought differently. And what was with Mike Goldberg, he got a mancrush on Sherk? All he did the whole match was ride Sherk’s nuts. FOTN for sure though, I could care less if Griffin always goes to a decision, all his fights are so damn exciting.

griffin looked too tired, or was just more loose, who knows.but sherk seemed to be more aggressive and landed most of the punches, although not sure about most of the damages. seemed like griffin good shots.
That was a great fight. It was exciting the entire time of the fight. Both these guys are so hard to finish and they are fighting mirror images of themselfs. You can’t ask for anything else.
Sherk is a beast and he shows so much heart in his fights. The same goes for Griffin. But alot of people knew Sherk would win by decison. The only reason some say the fight was boring was because they wanted Tyson to win.
Major props to Sherk for standing up and trading cus he could have gotten takedowns all night long.
I hoped that this fight would have more high-level wrestling, but i liked it.

I think the decision was fair…. not a huge fan of Sherk or Griffin, but it was still a great fight

WHAT A FIGHT!!! Tyson griffin is a Beast. Sherk deffinately won but wow griffin fought his heart out. And 24 years old! A Couple more years of experience and training and that kid will be a lightweight FORCE!!

CLOSE fight. I actually did have it 30-27 Sherk, although that number is deceiving cuz sherk won all those rounds by a razor thin margin. Really exciting fight, whoever thinks this was boring needs to stop watchin mma.

YES, that was a 30-27 fight. Sherk won every round, even if they were very close. But that’s how scoring in MMA works! Same as boxing! 10 pts per round to the winner, 9 or less to the loser. Add them up after the 3 and it should definitely be 30-27.
YES, Sean Sherk can be an exciting fighter and he showed it here. His stand-up is CRISP! He took Griffin down at will in the early rounds.
just because bj penn made him look weak doesn’t mean he is lol. and i think tyson griffin is already a force in the lightweight division. possibly ranked 13-15 in that category.

Good fight, at first when i heard 30-27 i was like wtf, watched it again and I could easily see a 30-27 fight for sherk. You could easily state he won every round.

Gotta love the uneducated inbreds, its EXCITING and I don’t know if Ive ever seen Sherk in a boring fight. I don’t like the guy but his energy level is always high and always makes for good fights.

Sherk didn’t dominate but he definitely did enough to win a UD. This was a great fight.
Dude, saw the fight again and at max, it was a 29-27 Sherk…and totally agree with you, these guys gave an excellent show, relentless the both of them!! I hope Griffin realizes what a great fight he just gave and that he’s still young…Sherk conditioning is awesome, and the way he just ate those punches and kicks…is he made of MF steel or what?
Both got short arms. Anyone with longer reach could kick for their asss. I dont see either one getting a totle shot soon at all. Was an entertaining fight regardless!!!

What are you guys talking about? complaining about these 30-27 scores. What round did tyson griffin win? Every round was 10-9 sherk! give me one round griffin won?!
I thought Griffin won the second and 3rd rounds. Most of Sherk’s punchs were hitting Tyson’s gloves while Griffin was using Sherk’s face as a speed bag. Also Sherk’s kicks were not really connecting the way that Griffin’s were (with a few exceptions).
at first i easily saw 30-27 sherk but the more i watch it idk. he definately won the first round cuz of the takedowns but the second and third was pretty much all stand up and i think tyson got the better of it. i think 29-28 tyson
