Tim SylviaFormer UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia has left the UFC and signed a non-exclusive deal with Adrenaline MMA - formerly known as M-1 Global.

Adrenaline MMA is a new up and coming organization run by Sylvia’s manager; Monte Cox. Cox was on this weeks episode of “Inside MMA” on HDNet and mentioned that he’s excited about identifying up-and-coming fighters by giving them a chance to perform on a big stage.

Sylvia said that the signing being non-exclusive is a huge deal to him and will allow him to fight six or seven times a year.

The amount of match ups that are now possible with Sylvia is very intriguing. From Fedor Emelianenko, Aleksander Emelianenko, Josh Barnett, Mirko Filipovic, and Mark Hunt, all the way to Hong Man Choi; 2008 should be a very interesting year for Sylvia’s career.
