Griffin had this fight, even if it was by a hair. Tito had NO ENERGY by 3rd round. He was crazy gassed and did absolutely s*&# for rds. 2 n 3, UNTIL he threw everything he had left into that final takedown and STILL didnt make s*%# from it. Griffin controlled the pace for 2/3 of that fight...BUT I can see how this fight would've went to a DRAW 28-28, granted if Tito got the 10-8 decision on the 1st round. Forrest just didn't finish it like he should've. He had Tito down n out, but didn't capitalize. That mistake cost him the fight. He had quite a few opportunities to unload on Tito, but didn't. Live n learn I guess.

Honestly, I could see how Tito won, the first round was easily 10-8 for Tito, he landed a good amount of combinations, he took Griffin down and was pounding on him, it wasn't like he took him down and just kept him down until the 1st round was done, he was pounding on him with some hard elbows and punches, easily 10-8. 2nd round was Griffin's, he stuffed the take downs and landed some good shots, and third round was pretty even. However which way the third would be scored for, Tito would for sure not lose this fight, it would be 29-28 Tito, or 28-28 Draw.

@ Pablo and anybody else that is curious.

Yes you can give a 10 10 rnd but it is extremely rare. its actually happened in the Ufc just dont remember which fight. But it is possible. Judges say they dont like to use it though. and they dont. One of the judges for the Machida-shogun fight said he actually considered it for one of the rounds

I just finished watching the Griffin-Tito fight. The first round was by far Titos, as everybody seems to agree on. However, the second round was all Griffins.Tito misses all shots in the 2nd round (which was about 5 shots). So Griffin won that. The third round was back and forth for the begining, but Tito just sat back like a scared puppy and got his a#* handed to him. Griffin eluded 95% of the elbows and punches that Tito tried getting him with, and Griffin even got some good bows from bottom. Although Tito took him down, Griffin landed more punches and even got back to his feet after being taken down with something like 20 seconds left. It was all over after that, but Griffin should have won that round, which would have resulted in a victory for Griffin.

or course tito can only win by takedowns and ground and pound so unless you have knockout power takedown defense or you run away and pick your shots its basically a points loss or a tko

i didnt see the end decision but i saw forrest whip tito's a**, scoring a fight is about several different things, one of which being round control, who controlled the fight during the round the most and decided where it took place (standing or on the ground) tito obviously did a number in the first round, but JUST LIKE COMMENTATORS SAID, Forrest Griffin Tasted his own blood and instantly became the fighter we all know. despite the take down in the third round, Forrest controlled both the second and third rounds, landed more effective strikes which had tito wincing like a b!@#^, and even inflicted more damage from the bottom. Tito Ortiz fans!!!! please dont deny something you witnessed with your own two eyes, have nice day
